Laurie's POV:

We go to our lockers to grab our necessary stuff and head to the bus.

Daniel and I go in the same bus because we live in close neighborhoods. We sit next to each other and start talking about random things.

My house is quite far from school so it's a good 30 minute drive from our school. It's the same for Daniel.

After talking about whatever goes through our minds, we stay quiet.

I stare at the window and look at the streets, the parks, and other things that pass in front of me. I look at my side and see Daniel with earphones and closing his eyes. I hear him humming to 'Fight Song'.

"What are you listening to?" I ask curiously. Daniel opens his eyes and removes his earphones. "Uh nothing. It's nothing." I laugh. "You're really bad at lying Dani. I heard you were listening to 'Fight Song'." I smile at him.

"Okay, yes I was listening to that song but it was you singing." He says nervously scratching the back of his neck. I look at him surprised but also kind of happy.

"Why?" I ask him. "And how do you have that in your phone?"

"Well I like listening to your voice. It's beautiful and it's unique. And I recorded it today in music class. I hope you don't mind I think it's kind of creepy." He chuckles.

I take out my phone and unlock it. I open the recording app and show him. He opens his eyes.

"You to?" He asks laughing.

I nod. "I really like your voice as well and I listen to it when I'm feeling down or when I feel like listening to you singing." I blush and laugh after.

"We are such weirdos." Daniel states. I smile at him. "Yes we are."

I'm a girl that has a lot of ups and downs and is very weak in the inside even though I look fine in the outside. Sometimes I would just burst in tears for no reason or I usually cry because of a tiny thing but at the end feel devastated about everything about me.

But I do have a hard past.

The bus driver drops me in front of my house and I hug Daniel goodbye.

I open the door of my house with the key my parents gave me and enter. I hear my siblings fighting in the kitchen. Like I'm a very curious girl, I go and check what's going on.

"Why do you always keep on eating everything in this house? There is no more food and now I'm hungry." I hear Allison complain.

I roll my eyes. She could be such a drama queen sometimes. I enter the kitchen and try to calm everything down because I wasn't in the mood for backfiring any of them or getting into the fight.

"Hey can you please shut up? Alli if you're hungry then go and cross the street there is a store where you can buy all the food you want." I sigh. "I know it's just that I am tired of Andre eating all the food and not doing anything about it." She answers back.

I hear Andre groan and I face him. He looks at me annoyed. "What. I need to feed myself." I roll my eyes and start leaving the kitchen.

"Next time don't finish up all of the food Andre! You're not the only one living here." I yell going up the stairs. I sometimes was the 'mom' in the house but only in some occasions. Most of the time I end up fighting with them. Or with Andre acting as the old brother.

I get in my room and lay down on my bed. I stare at the ceiling for a good amount of time and then start 'doing' homework. I always do it but only half of it. I'm just too lazy.

I then hear my phone ring. I check it and it was Daniel calling me via FaceTime. I smile and quickly press the green button.

"Hey there Dimples." I hear and see Daniel through the phone. That's the nickname he gave me because I have dimples when I smile.

"Hey Dan."

We talk for a few hours and finish our homework until I get called downstairs to eat dinner. I say goodbye and end the call.

Most of my days were like this one. There was nothing special. But who knew that tomorrow was going to be different.
