Chapter 52: I'm sorry

Laurie's POV:

"SURPRISE!"

I see people jumping out of nowhere making me scream like a five year old girl.

"AAAAAH! OH MY GOD!" I fall on my butt and just lay there breathing heavily, my hand on my chest.

Andre and Corbyn approach me laughing their butts off, causing them to fall and cry of laughter.

I sit up, crossing my arms, pouting like a kid.

"You guys know how much I hate surprises." I frown.

I look up to the people surrounding me and see in the corner of my eyes, a smiling Daniel.

Without even thinking, I get up as fast as I can and jump in his arms. Tears start to form in my eyes.

"Shhh babe it's okay. There's no point crying." He picks me up, still hugging me.

"You scared me. I thought I'd lose you." I say, my head shuffled on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry princess, I didn't mean to. And you'll never lose me." He pulls away smiling, wiping off my tears with his thumb.

We both lean in a share a much needed kiss. I know one week seems like nothing, but I missed this way too much. I needed this. I need him in my life. (Omg I need you in my life like limelight, wherever I go I'm taking you. I swear this just came out naturally.)

"You have no idea how much I missed this." I confess him.

"Trust me, it was killing me everyday. But it was part of the surprise." He pecks my lips. "I'm never doing such thing again." He sighs, causing me to giggle.

"So this is what you were hiding from me?" I ask, to Daniel and to the boys.

They all nod shyly.

"Thank you for the surprise. To be honest, I didn't expect anything at all." I scan around the room looking at everyone that has tagged along.

Wow. So many people reunited in one same place, for my birthday.

As I turn around, I see a person I didn't expect to come.

"ALEXA!" I scream and jump, hugging her and making her fall.

"Oh my lord Laurie you're 18 now!! You're not a minor anymore!! And you sounded like a dying horse when you screamed!" She squeals with a natural British accent.

"Oh my I know!!!" I squeal back. "And you have a British accent!" I gasp hugging her once again, causing her to stumble back.

"No I don't." She laughs.

"Yes you do you dumb bitch." I slightly slap the back of her head.

"Girl we need to catch up. Soon." She says.

"Duh! But when? Did you finish your movie?" I ask her concerned.

"Well I asked a break just for you because I couldn't miss my best friend's 18th birthday soooo, I'll have to go back to film some final scenes and it's a wrap. To be honest, I've been feeling homesick." She explains.

We spend a couple minutes talking about random stuff until it's time for me to say hi to other people.

I greet everyone and thank them for coming.

I feel someone carry me over their shoulder.

"Andre! Put me down!" I yell, punching his back as he laughs. He puts me back down.

"What's up sis. How does it feel to turn 18?" He says hugging me.

"I have to say, it don't feel much difference. But, oh god I can go to real jail now!" I state loudly, catching everyone's attention, causing them to laugh.

I greet the remaining people left.

Last one is Krista.

I hug her tightly.

"I'm sorry to make you feel so awful. I hope this surprise made it up for it." She smiles.

I smile back at her. "Trust me I would never steal yo man." She laughs, making me laugh to.

"I know. Thank you so so much for organizing this for me. It's means a lot." I hug her once again.

I walk around the house, searching for Daniel and I see him outside, sitting on a rock.

I sit beside him and lean my head on his shoulder.

He looks over at me, smiling instantly.

"What are you smiling at?" I ask him, smiling back.

"You." He kisses the top of my head.

We stay there, in each other's arms, staring at the view of LA.

"Hey Daurie! Come back inside! And Kiwi it's time for you to open up the gifts!" Jonah yells.

"Jonah leave them alone, they haven't seen each other for one week!" Jack slaps him, causing me to laugh.

We get up and I start walking back inside, but Daniel holds my hand back.

He spins me around, puts a hand behind my waist and I wrap my hand behind his neck. He cups my cheek and we both lean in, in a passionate kiss.

This is all I needed for my birthday.
