Chapter 48: One month

Laurie's POV:

We get off our plane and feel the hot air of LA. I take a deep breath. Home.

Logan waits for us at the exit. He came to pick us up with the Yeti. He helps us with our luggage and we squeeze trying to fit inside the car.

There isn't much space so Corbyn is sitting shotgun, Jonah in the second row in the middle, Jack in his left with Zach on his laps and I'm sitting on Daniel's lap, next to Jonah.

I automatically smile as I realise it's been one month since I've been dating Daniel.

"What are you smiling about?" Daniel asks, his arms wrapped around my waist.

I'm about to tell him but instead, I remove my phone from airplane mode and receive way to many notifications from Instagram and Twitted.

Daniel looks at me confused.

I open Instagram and check one of the post I'm mentioned on.

It's an amazing fan-made edit of the both of us. It's has videos from the night when Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend, one from Logan's vlog of both of us cuddling, one kissing, and others that bring me memories.

Me and Daniel look at the edit in awe and at the end, it captions 'Happy one month anniversary Daurie!❤️'.

We look at a couple more and just can't believe how thoughtful the fans are.

I feel Daniel hug me tighter. "Happy one month anniversay babe." He kisses my cheek. I can't help but smile.

I give him just a small peck on the lips because there is not much space for me to hug him and it's very unconfortable.

Once we get to the Why Don't We house, we all hop out and I instantly jump in Daniel's arms.

"Happy one month Dani." I give him a big kiss. I guess it was quite long because when we pull apart, the other boys are not there anymore.

Curiously, we enter the house and see the whole place with balloons, confetis, and other decorations.

Out of nowhere, I see the boys, Logan, Brendan filming our reaction, Eben, August taking pictures, Krista and Dylan come out.

"Congratulations guys for your one month anniversary!" They all yell in union.

"Oh my god you guys! You didn't have to do this for us!" I hug them all.

"Well, you are one of our favorite couple and you two deserve it." Jack says.

They all bro hug Daniel. "Thank you man. It really means a lot." He gives a genuine smile.

"Oh crap wait Dimples I'll be back." He says running up the stairs.

He quickly comes back with a small box in hand and gives it to me, still smiling.

I look at him. He indicates me to open it.

Inside the small velvet box, a beautiful silver chain with the letter D surprises me.

I look at the necklace, then at Daniel and give him a big tight hug.

"I was worried I thought you wouldn't like it. It's kinda cliché though." He says scratching the back of his neck.

"I love it. It's perfect." I smile at him and kiss his soft lips.

I see in the corner of my eye a flash from August's camera but don't pay attention to it.

In this moment, it's just Daniel and I. I can't help but smile.

"Here, let me help you." Daniel says taking the chain from my hands.

I turn around and put my hair on one side. Daniel's warm hands touch my neck while he puts the chain around it sending chills around my spine.

It's really cliché but cute. Typical Daniel.

But that's how I love him.
