Chapter 32: 'She's taken'

Laurie's POV:

I'm getting ready to go buy some stuff in the grocery store.

As I get my Why Don't We sweater on, and start putting my white converse when I hear my phone receiving a message.

I unlock my phone a see that the message is from the person I least want to receive a message from. I freeze.

Josh.

I drop my phone and stare blankly right in front of me.

Alexa comes in my room putting her jacket on and sees me.

"Laur! Are you okay?" She asks me worried.

"J-josh." I mutter out. Her eyes go wide open and starts to get mad. "What about him?" She says angrily.

I point my phone that is laying on the floor.

She picks it up and reads. Her jaw drops. "No way. No fucking way." She clenches her jaw in anger.

"What is it?" I ask curiously. "Apparently it's Ian." She gives me my phone. "Wait what?" I'm confused.

Psycho son of a b*tch: hey Laurie. It's Ian. I was wondering if maybe we could hang out someday? Maybe get to know each other?

Little did he know I still have his number and he can't pretend to be someone else.

"What do I do?" I ask shaking feeling my eyes fill with tears as I remember the past.

I hear the front door knock. What now. Alexa gets up to open it. She doesn't let me get the door because she doesn't want me facing Thomas again. I lay my back on my bed.

"Oh hey guys!" She greets someone. They all greet back and I guess it's the Why Don't We boys.

And I'm not wrong.

They come in my room and greet me. I greet back sniffing.

"You're alright?" Daniel says worried sitting next to me. I don't say anything.

He looks over at the other boys and they leave letting Daniel and I alone.

"Tell me." (Tell me a way, tell me a way. I'm listening, what is it? Kay I'm done)
He insists. I hand him my phone and he reads.

While he does, I stare at his eyes. His beautiful blue eyes that in a matter of second start to turn into anger.

He starts typing something but before he presses send, I snatch the phone from him. He looks at me confused. "Nope Seavey." I giggle at how cute he looks confused.

"Why not?" He asks. Alexa barges in the room. "Oh crap sorry." She smiles shyly. "No it's fine." Daniel replies. "Laur I was going to tell you something about all of the Ian thing but I guess I'll just tell you later." She starts leaving the room.

"No! Wait. Tell me. We were just talking about that." I say sitting up.

"Ok I was thinking maybe you can pretend you don't know it's actually Josh and maybe meet him. I think it's kinda weak to confront him via text message. Why don't you go and kick his ass in person?" She suggests.
