A few words I would like to add before officially beginning this story.
I would like to add a TRIGGER WARNING at the beginning of this story, as there will be plenty of reference to self harm, depression, suicide, eating disorders, sexual assault etc. however, if you still want to read this story anyway, I'll put a warning in the beginning of the chapter that there's a trigger.
I know the main character in this story(you) is from the U.K., but as someone from the US, it's hard for me to completely change the way I talk, and some of the words in this story might continue to be American slang. If you see something wrong, please feel free to leave a comment correcting me, so my story can become more realistic.
This being my first story being released to the public, I am more than aware that this story is definitely not the best piece of work out there. Because of this, I am very open to any form of advice or criticism you have to offer.

Also, in this story, you are supposed to be a year out of school, so around 19. I know Dan is 27, but if that makes you feel weird, you can just pretend the main character is older. 💜
