The picture above has nothing to do with this chapter but I think it's definitely something some people need to read.

I storm out the apartment door, and have no idea where I'm going to go. I decide to head to the first place I can think of, and hail a cab. I give the driver the address, and as we drive away, I look out the window, still fuming.

It's over an hour before I get there, thanks to English weather. Finally, the driver pulls up outside her house. I pay him, and step out of the cab. I walk up Macy's drive way, before rapping on her door. She answers almost instantly.

"Oh, hey!" She greets me with a smile on her face. However, as she sees my expression, the smile drops. "What's going on?"

I walk into her house, and pull off my boots. "Dan and I got into a fight, because apparently, I'm still not trustworthy. Apparently, just because I don't want to eat some goddamn pancakes, it immediately means I'm fucking starving myself," I growl.

Macy placed her hands on her hips, her eyebrows knitting together. "That's ridiculous. You're getting fucking married, yet he still doesn't think he can believe you?"

"I guess not," I sigh. We walk to her living room, and plop down on the couch. A bong sits on her coffee table, but I ignore it. "Then Dodie and Phil just sat there, not saying anything."

"Well, you can't really expect them to take sides."

"Yeah, but they could've at least helped me out," I sigh. "The things Dan were saying were just...mean, and cruel."

"Yeah, that is kind of ridiculous," she agrees. "So, you just drove all the way over here?"

"I needed to leave, and this is the first place I thought of," I say. "You're the only person I feel I can talk to about literally anything without any judgement. I know they try to care, but they just don't get it."

Macy nods. "Yeah. However, as much as I understand that what he said hurt you, I think you need to think about what he meant. He means he cares about you, and he's just trying to make sure you're doing okay."

"Then why didn't he just say that?" I ask, obviously frustrated. "I mean, why didn't he just say that, instead of saying he doesn't believe me, and I shouldn't expect him to?"

"Because some people just aren't good at talking," Macy replies. "I mean, sometimes people say one thing, but they mean another, and it just gets misinterpreted. I'm sure once you go back, he's going to apologize, and you'll actually be able to talk about what he's really feeling."

I sigh, and fall back into the couch. "Okay, but I can't excuse what he said to me. I mean, even if he didn't mean it the way he said it, it doesn't fix the fact that it hurt me."

"It doesn't have to fix the fact that it hurt you," Macy says. "I think you just need a cooling off period. I mean, there's the stress of your wedding, then the stress of Christmas, and you guys are always around each other. If there wasn't any conflict, that wouldn't be healthy."

I think about it for a second, before replying. "Yeah, maybe you're right."

Macy smiles. "I always am."

I can't help but laugh. "You know, you and Dodie are basically the exact same person."

She chuckles. "Is she going to be a bridesmaid as well?"

I nod my head. "I've been told I need to pick someone to be my maid of honor, but I can't choose between the two of you, so I think I'm just going to give you both the title. I mean, you've both done so much for me, and I love you both unconditionally."
