Your POV

Macy and I watch a movie, passing a blunt. I guess I still wasn't used to the fact that my tolerance was gone, and was completely unable to focus on the screen. As I'm just about to look at my phone, however, a polite knock comes from the front door.

"I'll get it," I say, standing up almost at the same time as the knock. Macy chuckles at my random surge of energy, and I sashay to the foyer, squinting through the peephole. On the other side of the door, Jack stands. However, the second I see him, I know something's off.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask as I open the door. Before answering, he anxiously shoulders past me, pushing the door shut behind him. I narrow my eyes in confusion. "What's going on?"

"I just got off the phone with Ethan, who told me James is planning on coming here, and 'putting you in your place, once and for all,'" he quickly spurts out, his wide eyes focused on mine.

"W...what?" I stutter, unable to fully comprehend what he means. "What do you mean?"

Jack hastily locks the door, before grabbing my arm and pulling me into the lounge. Macy can instantly tell something is wrong, and jumps to her feet.

"What's happening?" She asks urgently, her eyes darting between Jack and I. I have to lean my arm against the wall, just to keep balance as my mind fills with fog.

"James is going to be here sometime soon, and I know this time, he's gonna do some serious damage," Jack answers in a strong voice. "We need to figure out something to do with her," he adds, gesturing to me.

"N-no," I turn to Jack, who narrows his eyes at me. "I mean, there's nowhere for me to go, and if I disappear, it's only going to anger him more. We might as well get it over with."

Jack groans in frustration as Macy pulls out her phone, typing furiously and sending a text to someone. However, before I can ask who she's texting, Jack directs my attention back to him.

"No, you don't understand, (y/n). From what Ethan told me, James is really fucking angry, and he's gonna do something really bad. It's not something we can just 'get over with.'"

"I...I...Well, what am I supposed to do, then?" I pant anxiously, looking between Jack and Macy. They both exchange looks, obviously just as clueless as me.

I scrape my mind for something, anything, but nothing comes up in my mind. Of all the possible places I could escape to, James knows of all of them, and it would only result in more people possibly ending up hurt. There was no option left, except to sit here and wait.

However, there wasn't much waiting to be done, as a sudden, vicious knock comes from the front door.

Dan's POV

Macy
7523 East Westington Street. Get here as fast as you can, it's an emergency.

I narrow my eyes at the text, my heart rate instantly taking off. It hadn't even been sent to Dodie and Phil, only me.

Dan
What do you mean emergency?

Macy
James is coming to hurt (y/n), bad. Just hurry the fuck up

Panicking, I run from my room, pulling on a pair of shoes in the foyer, and dashing out of my apartment. Dodie and Phil had gone out earlier to do some grocery shopping, so there was no way I could have them come with me. Even if I could, though, I wouldn't want to put them in possible danger.

I quickly hail a taxi, my lanky height finally being an advantage for me.

"7523 East Westington Street," I nearly shout in the driver's ear as I quickly dive into the car, slamming the door behind me. "And please, hurry."
