A/N: Yo, if I were to start a YouTube channel, what should my first video be about? Mental health? Substance abuse? Something more lighthearted? Gimme ideas because I'm too stupid to do this myself. 🙃
I wake up in a sudden rush, immediately realizing what day it is. I jump out of bed, and run to the bathroom, running a brush through my hair as I pee. I go to the kitchen, where Dodie and Macy sit, along with a hairstylist and makeup artist.
"Come sit, we don't have all day!" Dodie says, motioning to a chair at the island. I shrug, before sitting down, and the hairstylist and makeup artist immediately get to work.
Two hours later, my hair and makeup is done, and Dodie and Macy help me into my wedding dress. When I'm finally completely done, they both look at me, wide smiles on their face.
"You look absolutely stunning," Dodie gushes, and I laugh. Macy hands me a handheld mirror, and I look at my makeup and hair, which is flawless. I look down at my dress that flows around me, and immediately, pressure builds behind my eyes. I've never felt more beautiful.
"Come on, we have to leave right now if we want to get there on time," Macy says, and I nod. After making sure Dan is still in his room, we leave the apartment, and walk outside.
A limousine sits on the edge of the street, and I can't help but laugh. When Dodie told me we had to go all out, she really meant it. I smile, before sliding into the limo, Dodie and Macy coming in after me. We're going straight to the wedding venue, which is a modern place called the Deck. Dodie and Macy insisted on decorating the place without my help, as they wanted it to be a surprise for me. The drive to the venue doesn't take too long, and the limo pulls outside of a large building, and I instantly realize where it got its name. We have to walk up a flight of stairs to a large room, surrounded by an even larger wooden deck.
When I walk into the reception area, my breath is taken away. Small, round tables are dotted around the rooms with white tablecloths and the paper flowers Dodie and I spent so much time folding. There's a large dance floor in the middle of the room, along with a bar and buffet table to one side. I smile as I walk around the room, taking in the extravagant decor lining the entire place. My heart leaps, a large grin on my face.
"You like it?" Dodie asks, and I laugh.
"I fucking love it." I say. Careful of our dresses, I hug both Dodie and Macy, thanking them for all the help they've put into this wedding.
"It's no problem," Dodie says.
"You would've done the same for us," Macy adds.
I smile. "Still, I don't think I could ever thank you enough for all of this. If it weren't for you two, I would've been completely lost."
Macy laughs. "Yeah, that's probably true, but you're so welcome."
"Now lets get you out of sight," Dodie cuts in. "Dan and everyone else is going to arrive soon, and we can't have them seeing you just yet."
They have me in a small dressing room, that leads right out to the aisle outside I'll be walking down in just about half an hour. My heart rises to my throat, and I'm suddenly incredibly panicked. I look at Macy, and she must see what's coming before I even say anything. She quickly runs to her bag, and pulls out a bottle of pills.
"I don't do drugs, Macy," I say, slightly out of breath.
"Don't worry, it's just Zyprexa," she tells me. I don't know how she even remembers that I take these for anxiety, but I take one, and let it dissolve under my tongue. In only a few minutes, I'm immediately calmed down, but still able to focus. I take a few deep breaths, and sip one of the water bottles that have been placed around the room.
