"This is why I've fallen in love with you."
My voice hitches in my throat, and I look into his eyes, my own still brimming with tears. My smile widens, and I kiss him once again.
"I love you, too," I breathe, and his grin grows to take up half his face.
"Okay, Dan, Phil, we gotta go!" Someone yells impatiently behind us.
"I'll see you in a little bit," Dan says, kissing me on the forehead and walking with Phil out of the backstage area. Andrew comes over to Dodie and I, and leads us back to the small waiting room we had been in before.
"Dan and Phil should only take a little bit, and I'll send them here once they're done," he tells us.
"Okie dokie," I reply, and he smiles, leaving the room. I lean back on one of the sofas, while Dodie flops onto the other one.
"I could really go for a coffee right now," she sighs.
"Yeah, me too," I reply, and only then do I realize how exhausted I am. I spread out on the couch, lying my head on my bag, and rest my eyes.
"(Y/n)...(y/n), wake up!" Someone taps on my shoulder, and I groan, slowly opening my eyes to see Dodie leaning over me. If I wasn't so exhausted, I probably would've freaked out.
(Y/n), c'mon, I wanna go home," she whines."Oh, you wanna go home?" Someone scoffs from behind her. I sit up and tilt my head, and see Dan and Phil in the doorway. I sigh, and completely straighten up.
"C'mon." Dodie reaches out her hand, and I grab it, pulling on my bag and rubbing my eyes. Dodie and Phil walk out in front of me, Dan wrapping his arm around me. When I leave the room, I see Andrew in the doorway. I smile at him, but the frown on his face makes me drop his expression.
"Actually, Dan and Phil should walk together, Dodie and (Y/n) in front of them," he says, and Dan's arm drops from my shoulder.
"What? Why?" I ask, slightly offended.
"There's definitely going to be fans waiting for you guys to leave, and we don't want them seeing...anything." I frown slightly but know he's right. We change the way we're standing to what he said, and head out the door back to the lobby.
Just as he said, the lobby is still packed with fans, either buying merch, or just waiting by the door to see Dan and Phil leave. I'd have expected them to leave through a different door, but whatever. I hear thousands of people's screaming Dan and Phil's name, and even though they're both right behind me, I can only just make out them shouting greetings to different fans. Andrew, along with a security guard, stands in front of us, and I'm sure there's at least a couple more behind us. I can hear a few people also yelling Dodie's and my name, and wave shyly at a few people, but before I know it, we're out of the building and basically being pushed into a car right in front of the entrance.
"Holy shit, that was intense," Dodie sighs as she shuffles in next of me, Dan and Phil going into the back of the van. Alex waves goodbye to us, and slams the door shut. Luckily, there's not a lot of people standing out here, and we're about to get out of the parking lot in record speed. Once we're gone, I switch spots with Phil, and sit in the back with Dan.
I lie my head on his lap, and he strokes my hair behind my head over and over again.
"Hey, do you think you could get us some food?" Dodie asks the driver, and I hear Dan and Phil both laugh.
"Yeah, I'm kinda starving," Phil adds.
"Ooh, can we go to Starbucks?" Dodie says.
"Or a bar?" Dan asks. "I haven't been allowed to drink alcohol for thirty days, and I really need to break that streak."
