Your POV
"So..." I smirk at Dodie, gripping my steaming drink in both hands, and she looks down at the table, blushing. We woke up this morning and went out for coffee, and there's no way I'm letting her get away without giving me the details about what happened between her and Phil.
"Um...it's not that interesting," she mutters shyly. I raise my eyebrows, telling her to go on, anyway.
"He could tell I was keeping something from him, and kept questioning me about it, so eventually I told him I liked him. And he told me he liked me."
"Well, yeah, that's what I said, and I'm never wrong," I joke.
"Hey, if you want to hear the full story, no interruptions," she says in a faux stern voice.
"Okay, okay, go on."
"Well, nothing super interesting happened after that. We just turned on a movie, and he kinda made a move, and we ended up snuggling, then falling asleep."
I smile stupidly. "Awww, you're so cute." Dodie cringes, causing me to laugh.
"Where did you and Dan disappear off to?" She asks, taking a long drag from her coffee. "One minute you were sitting on the couch, and the next you were both gone."
I smirk sneakily. "I don't kiss and tell."
She nearly chokes on her coffee. "So you guys kissed?"
"Well, yeah," I reply, trying to sound nonchalant. "We talked for a little bit in his room, and then we went out."
"Really? That's all you're going to give me?" She asks. I laugh, and nod my head. "So, are you guys, like, officially dating now?"
I shrug. "We decided that putting a label on it, at least right now, would just add extra stress. Not having a label gives us more freedom to do what we want."
Dodie nods in response. She hesitates, then asks, "Are you still getting any hate for that leaked news footage?"
"I mean, there's always gonna be a few angry stragglers leaving shit, but it's mostly blown over by now." I ponder for a second, then add, "I don't even know how the 'phandom' found my channel. The footage didn't say anything about me being a YouTuber."
"Yeah, I don't really know," she chuckles. "Their fans are just kinda crazy like that."
"Yeah, you're probably right," I reply, tipping the last few drops of my coffee into my mouth. We leave our empty mugs on the table, and head out into the chilly streets. The entire sky is caped with clouds, the wind blowing my hair around like a tornado. I cover my hands with my jacket sleeves, and huddle my arms to my body. The streets are crowded with huddled bodies, half their faces stuck into the front of their jackets and shirts, rushing to whatever destination.
"Brrrr!" I moan dramatically as we finally make it into the apartment building, the sudden warmth stinging my face as the feeling starts to return to my hands.
"You got that right," Dodie mumbles as we walk up the flight of stares to my apartment. Dan and Phil had some sort of long business dinner last night, so Dodie and I slept at my apartment. It's kind of weird how my apartment's turned into a sort of backup place for me to stay when Dan and Phil are busy.
