The next day is spent with more wedding chores with Dodie, including food and wine tasting, confirming our wedding cake design with the bakery, and hiring a DJ. As Dodie and I sit in the lounge with my laptop, arguing over which songs to put in the playlist for the reception, Dan and Phil walk in. Dan places a greasy bag of McDonald's on my lap, and I hungrily search through it. I pull out my food, then throw the bag to Dodie. It's been an exhausting day, and the best cure is always greasy fast food.

"What else do you have to do before the wedding is ready?" Dan asks, eating his own food on the other couch.

"Um, we need to make dinner reservations for the night before our wedding, plan the honeymoon, and make spa and nail appointments for a couple days before the wedding," I list off from the top of my head. Dodie's basically burned it into my mind after repeating what we need to do a thousand times in the last few weeks. I really need to tell her that we can calm down with this wedding stuff.

"And we need to get your dress and the bridesmaid dresses tailored," Dodie tells me.

"Oh yeah, who're your bridesmaids going to be?" Dan asks.

"Macy and Dodie," I say. "I know it's normal to have three bridesmaids, but I only want my bridesmaids to be my best friends."

Dan nods his head. "I'm only having Phil as my best man, because I don't have any other friends that I trust as the roll of groomsmen."

"Yeah, I don't think we need that big of a wedding. And I know we're YouTubers, but I don't really want to make it this big public thing," I admit. "We haven't told the internet yet that we're engaged, and I kind of like it that way. We can maybe tell them we're married afterwards."

"Yeah, I was kind of feeling that way, too," Dan replies. "It's refreshing, having this big thing in my life, but not having over a million people also know about it."

"Yeah, exactly," I laugh. I finish my food, and throw the wrappers into the McDonald's bag. I yawn, and stretch. "Man, I don't know about you guys, but I've had one of the most exhausting days for the first time in awhile."

We continue talking for awhile longer, before nine o'clock rolls around, and I can barely keep my eyes open. Dan and I go to our room, change our clothes, and lay down in bed. Dan sits up against the headboard, and I lie my head on his shoulder as he pulls up Netflix on his laptop. He loads up the newest season of BoJack Horseman, and we sit there for awhile, just watching tv. A second wind hits me, and I'm suddenly wide awake.

"I really want to do something right now," I tell Dan. I'm half expecting him to tell me he's too tired to do anything, but he says the complete opposite.

"I have an idea," he declares, and rolls out of bed. I sit up, my eyebrows narrowing in confusion as he pulls a hoodie over his head.

"And What is that?" I ask, but he only smirks.

"I guess you'll just have to follow me to find out."

I roll my eyes, but get out of bed, and pull on my winter coat as Dan does the same. We leave the bedroom, and I can hear Dodie and Phil's voices coming from behind their door. We pull on our shoes in the foyer, and walk out of the apartment.

I'm expecting Dan to lead me outside onto the street, but instead of going down the stairwell, he starts going up. I follow him hesitantly, not completely sure where he's leading me. Finally, we reach the top, where a single door sits. After a few seconds of jimmying with the handle, the heavy door creaks open, and Dan pushes it the rest of the way open. I look outside, and realize it leads to the roof of the building.

"How long did you know you could get out here?" I ask him, following him as he walks out into the night air.

"I found it when Dan and I first moved into this apartment, but completely forgot about it until maybe a few days or weeks ago," he answers. I walk to the edge of the building, which is fenced in. There's a decent view looking over the edge, and I sit down on the ground. I can still see the view from the hand between the fence, and Dan sits down beside me. He wraps his arm around me, and I rest my head on his shoulder.
