A/N: okay so um at fifty parts I got my first 10k reads, then at sixty I had somehow doubled that to 20k. Now I'm at seventy, and am basically at 40k. I don't want to take up a ton of your time, but just say thank you from the bottom of my heart because that's fucking awesome.
I wake up the next morning, my head screaming in pain. Why do I always end up making the worst decisions?
Dan's already out of bed, and as I pick up my phone, I realize it's already one in the afternoon. Not only that, but I also have a text from Macy.
Hey! Wanna hang out with me and a few other people?
I think about it for a second, before realizing I don't really have anything else to do, and answer her.
Sure, when do you want me to be over?
Whenever's the best for you, just text me when you're almost here :)
Stretching, I step out of bed, and walk into the bathroom. After peeing, taking an Advil, and brushing my teeth, I do my makeup, pull my hair into a ponytail, and walk back to my room, getting dressed.
I know I kind of dressed up for my birthday party, but seeing as I'm just hanging out, I don't want to stand out, so I choose the sort of thing I would wear before I met Dan. I dress in an oversized tie dye shirt, along with athletic shorts. This is the type of thing I'd now only wear as pajamas, and I feel almost underdressed.
I walk into the kitchen, where Dan sits, and kiss him on the cheek. "Hey, I'm gonna go out today, I'll text you when I'm coming home."
"Okie, dokie," He replies, not taking his eyes off his laptop, where I realize he's editing a video.
I pull on a pair of sneakers, put my phone in my pocket, and walk out of the apartment. Once I'm on the pavement, I hail a cab, tell him the address of Macy's place, and text her that I'm on my way.
Cool. Btw Jack and Kenny will be here
Ok cool. I'll be there in an hour or so
I put in my headphones, and lose myself in my own thoughts the entire way there.
As I arrive at Macy's house, I shoot her a text, pay the cab, and as I walk up the pavement, she appears in the doorway, an excited grin taking up half her face.
"About fucking time," she laughs, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Sorry, it's not my fault I live a fucking hour away," I reply defensively, walking up to her.
"Oh, yeah, you live in London," she mocks me in a singsong voice. "I was starting to worry you would begin to think you're too good for me."
"I don't think I could ever believe I'm better than you," I answer, walking into her house. However, the second I walk through the doorway, I'm hit by the stench of weed. I turn to Macy, who raises her eyebrows at me, before I realize where I am. Of course they're not going to hang out sober.
As I follow Macy into the living room, smoke clouds my vision, and I can't help but cough, Jack sneering at me.
"I can't believe, out of all of us, you're the one that ended up sober," he jokes, a couple of the people in the room chuckling. I roll my eyes, plopping down next to Macy.
"Well, it doesn't have to be that way," Ethan, someone who had always been closer to James, sneers, offering me a joint.
I look at it as if he's handing me a murder weapon, my palms starting to sweat as my heartbeat increases. "Um, actually, yeah, it does," I whisper. The room stays quiet for a minute, before he only shrugs, and hands the joint to Macy. I watch as she takes a large hit, and laugh as she blows large Os around the room.
