Love advice part 2

Nicholas sat at the bar of Calavera cafe. His head laid in his arms on the counter, the ticking of the clock seemed to echo endlessly through the room. He was supposed to be spending some quality time with his younger sister, the two had been looking forward to this for weeks!!

With all the royal responsibilities they had, the two didn't have as much time to play together as they did when they were younger. Unfortunately, when Nicholas went to tell his sister that today was final the big day, he wasn't prepared for what was next

Flashback

Nicholas tried to contain his excitement, but failed as a large bright grin was stretched across his face. He came upon his sisters room, he smiled at knocked the door

"Charlotte? Helllllo?...." a moment later the sound of footsteps coming to the door caught his attention and he moved back in order to let his sitter come through. "Oh!! Hey big bro, what'cha doing here?" She stepped fully out of her room "Don't you have a meeting with dad today or something?"

Nicholas was surprised, all well, maybe she was playing dumb "Oh you are funny Charlotte!!" He ruffeled her hair, she raised a brow under her red locks and moved it aside with one hand "Um, bro your not making sense...."

Nicholas rolled his eyes "Oh!! Good old you Charlotte!! Pretending that you have no idea what day it is, clever you!!" He patted her shoulder "Bro in serious. What's going on here?!" Nicholas stopped abruptly, had she really forgotten? He pushed the thought aside and rolled out quit a long parchment that dropped to the floor.

"Woah!! That's one LONG list!!" She picked up a part of the it and started to read over the notes "Pumpkin carve together, race to the top of spiral hill, go ghost catching? Nicholas what's all this about? And why didn't you tell me you were going ghost catching?!"

"Not just me sister." He pressed his finger against her nose "But you two!!" "Me?" She asked in disbelief "Of course!! Who else could I spend my time with on Brother sister day'!!"

Charlottes eyes widened "I have our whole day planned out!!!" He gestured to the list "First we can go but some toffee apples, and then, we can play hide and seek in the graveyard!!" Charlotte coughed to gain his attention "Um...Bro-" "And after all the other activities are done, we can go ghost catching!! Isn't that great?!"

Charlotte stood their, not knowing what to say. She sighed and crossed her arms "Look, bro this sounds...cool and all..." she dropped the part of the list she was holding "And I'd love to spend time with you, but....." Nicholas raised a brow, his eyes still reading through the list "Hmm? But what?..."

"We can't do 'brother sister bonding day'...." Nicholas flinched so badly he dropped the list, he turned to his sister. "Hahaha....V-very funny sis!! G-good one, you really got me th-" the sad and apologetic look on his sisters face showed that she wasn't joking.

"B-But why?! I thought you loved 'brother sister bonding day'!!" Charlotte waved her hands at him "I DO!! I really do love it!! But, it's just that I promised Quintin that I would meet up with him and the fan today!!"

She dropped her arms "And you know how Quitin is when he's lied too!!" Nicholas looked down at the list, he slowly picked it up, all the fun stuff he had planned, all the memories he had planned to make. All for nothing. "It issss okay if I go to my friends right?"

Nicholas couldn't say no to his sisters puppy dog eyes, he faked a smile and rolled up the lift and stuffed it under his arm "S-Sure!! No problem at all!!"

"THANKS BRO!!" She gave him a quick hug before she strayed to run down to hallways, laughing happily to herself.
