-Keith's POV-

This was not happening. This had to be a joke, this had to be.

"O-Okay guys. You got me. Joke's not funny anymore." I laughed. Shiro looked up at me sadly. "Keith," he said softly, "This isn't a joke." My smile disappeared, and my Bayard slipped out of my hand, clattering to the floor. "N-No. No." I muttered, falling to my knees in front of Pidge, who was wailing over a limp body she cradled in her arms. "No. No. No, no, no, no." I reached out a shaky hand and brushed his brown hair out of his beautiful blue eyes.

"H-He's not dead. Lance isn't dead."

I ignored the hole in his chest, the puddle of blood that surrounded him. I ignored how cold he felt. "Lance. Please. Get up, this isn't funny anymore." I pleaded, holding his bloody hand in my own. "Get up!" I desperately started to shake him. "GET UP!" I sobbed, tears trailing down my face. "You can't leave me, I-I need you! Please!" I roughly wiped my face with my hand. "Please." Lance didn't answer, his blue eyes staring at the stars he loved do much, unseeing. "L-Lance! Please!" I pulled his cold body into mine, sobbing into his chest. I didn't care about the others shocked stares, I didn't care about Lances blood that was staining the front of my armor red.

I only cared that he got up. That he would be okay.

"L-Lance!" I tightened my grip around his cold body. "You promised me!" Tears mingled with his blood, "You promised you wouldn't leave me!" I sobbed, everything shattering into a million pieces.

"You promised."
_____
-Shiro's POV-

After Lance's death, everything froze. Everyone stopped smiling, stopped laughing, stopped living.

Keith just stopped.

Lance's death hit him the hardest. Keith never left his room, never trained, never ate. Pidge stopped inventing, Hunk stopped baking, Allura burst into tears whenever she walked past Lance's room, and Coran simply cleaned. Nothing else.

I trained. Everyday, 24/7. I took my grief out on the robots.

As much as none of us wanted to admit it, Lance was the glue of the team. His jokes kept everyone in high spirits, his laughter was contagious, his smile lit up every room.

And now he was gone.

I sighed as I ended the training sequence and took off my armor. I walked down the hall, pausing at Keith's room. I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. "Keith, you need to eat something."

-Mystery POV-

"It is done, sire. The test has been a success." The lady hissed, eyes gleaming blue. "We've brought him back to life."
_______
-Lance's POV-

I groaned, wincing as the bright light filtered in through my helnet. "Oh." I yawned, standing up in Blue's cockpit. "Hey girl. Must've fell asleep after a mission." I frowned. "I'm in for a mega-lecture from Shiro." Blue rumbled. "I missed you too, girl. It hasn't been very long since we last saw each other." I shrugged, "But okay." I disembarked Blue, stripping off my armor and taking my helmet off. I paused as I saw a large hole in the center of my armor. "That's weird. Where did that come from?" I shook my head. "I must be going insane." I walked through the halls, stopping when they each turned up empty. "They must be in the dining hall." I muttered, wheeling around and trekking into the kitchen, freezing in the doorway when I noticed how......depressed everyone looked. Had something happened on the mission? I threw on a smile and walked into the dining area, stopping at the end of the table. "Geez, I know that the mission was hard, but you seem like you're at a funeral." I laughed, everyone freezing. Everyone slowly looked at me, paling. "L-Lance?" Pidge stuttered. I frowned. "Uh yeah, who else would it be?" I questioned, smiling. Keith shot to his feet, his chair clattering to the ground.

"What's wrong,"

I laughed,

"You look like you've seen a ghost."
