-Lance's POV-

"Ugh!" I gasped, flying backwards from the force of Haggar's magic. "Lance, are you okay?" Keith's voice rang in my ears. I wheezed, forcing myself upright, wiping the blood off my face with a gloved hand. I didn't respond, my vision blurring. "LANCE?!" Hunk's panicked voice yelped over the comm. I gasped as I forced my lungs to take a breath, stumbling backwards away from the witch.

"H-Hunk?" My voice was ragged. "LANCE?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Pidge yelled, the sound of gunfire carrying over her voice. "I-I can't-" My voice was cut off as Haggar fired another beam of magic, hitting into my chest, making me choke as the air left my lungs. "C-Can't-" I scrambled out of the room, chest rattling with every breath. "LANCE!" Shiro yelled, "WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I took a raspy breath, my voice haggard and pained. "T-The witch got me good-" I gasped as I fought for air, "I-I can't, I can't b-breathe." I coughed, wincing as I heard the terrible heaving sound I made. "LANCE! CAN YOU MAKE IT TO THE HANGAR WHERE WE ARE?" I took a shaky breath, "I'm going to try." My words slurred together, and I staggered through the halls, wearily firing my gun at any Galra soldier I saw. I threw myself through the hangar doors, and I forced myself to keep walking, keep moving. My eyes watered, and blood was smeared on my chin.

"B-Blue."

I whispered over the comm, extending a hand towards my lion. Her eyes glowed, and she shot forwards towards me. I saw colorful figures sprinting towards me, but I ignored them and reached out as far as I could, brushing Blue's nose as I fell forwards, bayard clattering to the ground. Blue dived, catching me in her mouth, scooping up my bayard and securely shutting her mouth. I wheezed, dragging myself to the pilot's chair and shakily pulling on the controls, following the others as the exited the ship.

"G-Guys?" I hacked, lungs burning.

There wasn't a response, only static. Maybe they were mad that I didn't talk to them when I entered the hangar? I shook my head, flying through the wormhole and landing Blue on the landing pad. I stumbled down the ramp and into the control room, yanking my helmet off and joining the others around Allura. "C-Can I get some help here?" I gasped, pulling my armor off to reveal a nasty-looking glowing purple burn on my chest. "Good work out there team." Allura praised, ignoring me. I placed a hand on the counter, steadying myself as black spots danced across my vision.

"Keith and Shiro, great job holding off the sentinels while Pidge and Hunk got the required information." I sighed, waiting for her to mention me in some way. "You should all rest up, we had a hard battle." I flinched. "Shiro? Y-You're not going to help me or anything?" My voice sounded desperate, and I reached forwards, setting my hand on his shoulder.

My eyes widened as it slipped right through him.

I stumbled backwards, mind reeling. That was why they weren't responding, they couldn't see me or touch me. I backed away, breathing speeding up.

I was a ghost.

-Keith's POV-

The following weeks after the battle were fun, our team bonding increasing greatly. The only thing that bothered me was that it was so quiet, almost too quiet.

I didn't know why.

"Keith!" Pidge yelled from behind, "Let's go get something to eat!" I scowled as I followed her, trailing behind.
___________
-Lance's POV-

A month. It has been a month since Haggard cursed me, a month since I ate, a month since I drank, a month since I got injuried.

A month since I've been in contact with anyone.

I winced, fingering the wound on my chest. Without Allura or Coran, I couldn't use the pods, so the wound from Haggar had to heal naturally. I walked through Keith in the hall, whimpering when he didn't even notice. I made my way to the observation room, curling into a ball on the window sill and started to sing.
