-Lance's POV-

Everything was blue. I was drowning in that color, it followed me wherever I went. My room was blue, my armor, my bayard, my lion. All blue. I loved the color, but I couldn't stand it.

Blue was the color of sadness.

Blue was the color of tears, the color of pure despair. Blue is so utterly wild, so unbelievably sad, that no one can tame it. I couldn't stand when it touched me, because it reminded me of everything I lost.

Everything I never had.

-Lance's POV-

"Hey buddy, you okay?" Hunk asked, face one of concern. I forced a smile. "Yeah." I hung up my armor.

Blue.

"They shouldn't have been so hard on you," Hunk muttered, "You didn't do anything wrong." I hung my Bayard up.

Blue.

"It's okay. I don't mind." I said, placing my helmet on the shelf.

Blue.

"Lance." Hunk said seriously, staring at me. "I know you. Are you okay?" He asked, looking me in the eye. I turned away and pulled my shirt on.

Blue.

"Yeah." I said, walking past him, shoving my hands in my pockets. "I'm fine." I walked into the kitchen, flinching when I felt cold purple eyes land on me. "Lance." Keith growled, turning away. I felt my heart freeze.

Blue.

"I-I'm sorry." I whispered, reaching for my jacket which laid discarded on the counter. "I don't want your apologies," Keith's voice was cold, like ice.

Blue.

"I want you to try harder. Step it up." My hand shook. I closed my hand around the jacket, and I pulled it close. "Okay." I whispered, walking out of the kitchen and down the hallway. I paused outside my door, opening it slowly.

Blue.

I stepped inside, grabbing a paper and pen. I sat on my bed, pouring my soul onto the paper with the pen.

Blue.

I folded it neatly, slipping it into my pocket. I stared at the ceiling in silence, folding my legs underneath me.

Blue.

I stayed quiet through dinner, my food remaining untouched. I focused my gaze on my lap, thoughts far away.

Blue.

I helped Hunk with the dishes, wrapping my arms around him afterwards. "Thanks, Hunk." I whispered, leaving him standing there confused.

Blue.

I sat through a team meeting, pretending that I didn't see the disappointed stares of my teammates.

Blue.

I stared at the stars long after everyone had gone to sleep.

Blue.

I walked to the hangar, resting my palm on Blue. "I'm sorry, girl." I whispered, leaning my forehead to her side.

Blue.

I headed to the training room, grabbing my Bayard and sitting by the window, sliding down the wall and pulling my knees to my chest.

Blue.
