23. House Of Cards

" What, I thought you would come tomorrow." I said as we pulled out of the hug.

" I just thought I'd surprise you." Oliver then said.

" Well you certainly did." I said and hit his chest a little.

His muscular chest......

" Rachel.... I think I'll go now..." Jin said.

I was surprised, I totally forgot he was standing there.

" Jin, wait.... This is Oliver. Oliver meet Jin. My eum.... My...eu.... My co-worker." I said not really knowing what to say as I introduced them.

" Hi, I'm Jin, just Rachel's co-worker apparently..." Jin said and shook Oliver's hand.

" Hi, I'm Oliver. We're friends for like forever me and Rachel." Oliver replied.

" Nice meeting you. I'll go now. See you on Monday Rachel." Jin said, bowed to my mom and Mia then left the apartment and banged the door closed.

" Sigh, what a handsome man that is." Mia said.

" He was really handsome is he your boyfriend Rachel?" Oliver asked.

" He might as well be. He drops her off at home every day..." Mia said.

" No he's not. He's just being nice to me...." I said to them.

I won't misunderstand, not again.

" Rachel I'm leaving too. I just came quickly to surprise you. Your mom gave me your number. Expect a call from me anytime.." he said, placed a kiss on my cheek and left.

" Bye." I said and placed my hand on my cheek.

" Still crazy about him I see..." Mia said and rolled her eyes.

My mom nodded. " What do you think is so important he came to see you?" She asked.

" I don't know.... We haven't talked since he..... Since he left." I said.

I felt my cheeks burning. I needed some water to cool down.

" Maybe he realised he loved you too." Mia bluntly said.

" Oh, so a confession." My mom then added making me spit out my water.

" Yah! Would you two stop. That doesn't even make sense." I yelled.

" It kinda does. Why else would he come all the way here just to see you... Rachel may-"

" It's not possible. Trust me." I cut Mia off. " Just let me relax now I've had a long week." I said and went up to my place, followed by Mia.

I put on my pyjamas. I went into the living room, placed myself on the sofa. I looked out of the window as I remembered all that happened. Tears beginning to form in my eyes.

" Here you go." Mia said as she handed me a cup of tea.

" Thanks.... I needed this." I said slowly wiping away the tears with my sleeves.

" I'm sorry I wasn't there...." She said looking guilty.

" Yah! Don't apologize we weren't even friends back then." I scolded her.

" But still you had a hard time. I wasn't there..." She said.

" The fact that you are here with me now.... That's all I need." I said as I pulled her in for a hug.

We hugged for a while. And Mia then went to bed.

I looked back out of the window. Memories flowing through my mind.
