"Thanks for the lift, Sam!" Tori spoke and I nodded as the car was parked in the drive way.
Tori went out and I was about to go, too. However, Sam had said something, so I had to stay in the car.
"Who is that Alex guy to you?" He turned to me and stared straight to my eyes.
"Why do you want to know? I thought I already told you that he's my childhood friend." I informed him as I was looking at him.
"Nothing. It's just... you seem to be very close with him. I mean I'm aware that you won't ever interact with new people or specifically, guys."
"Well... I know him since we're little, so yeah." I don't know what this conversation is going to lead.
"Hmm... I will pick you up at 6:30 in the morning. Be ready!" He said and that statement hasn't really gone through my head completely... yet.
"Huh??" I asked him again to ensure if I heard it right.
"Be ready!"
"But... Why do you have to pick me up? I can go to work with Tori like usual."
"No protest. This is an order." He commanded with his authority as my boss.
"Fine! I need to get an explanation from you tomorrow." I gave in then went out.
"Good night, Lizzie!" He smirked then drove off.
I sighed and went into the house.
"What took you so long?" Tori asked me when I entered the house.
"Sam will pick me up at 6:30 tomorrow to work. And don't ask me why because I don't know either." I was taking off my shoes while I was telling her.
"That early?! I mean work starts at 7:30, it is an hour before." Tori said.
"Yeah. I don't know. Please wake me up if my alarm clock doesn't."
"OK. By the way, good news. Alex is going to get married on February 02." Tori squealed as my eyes widened.
"Really?! I didn't know he has a fiance. I'm so happy for him." I smiled widely.
"I've met her several times. She is a very nice and sweet person. I'm sure you're going to like her."
"Well, if you're saying that she's nice, maybe I will like her." We went upstairs.
"Tori, I'm still worried about one thing." I spoke out when we reached our floor.
"What is it?" She turned to me.
"They were in California and that's the reason why I came here. However, I know that they are very powerful and also well-known in the business world." I started with my curiosity. "Don't you think we might run into them when we attend events with the guys?"
"Possibly. But... I think their headquarter is now in California, it used to be here before." Tori told me.
"I'm sure they might not recognize you. And if we're going to attend any events soon, I'm going to give you a make over, so you won't be spotted."
"How about you? Don't they recognize you at all?"
"I don't think so. You know the reason why I kept disappearing several months before the incident happen? Your family sent me out, so that they won't really know that I'm close to you. That's why I barely see you and also the reason why I showed up and helped you after what happened. I think your parents kept me and Alex safe and hidden, so they won't know anything about us."
