Lillian Delmer
"Dad! What's happening?" A petite young girl spoke to her dad in worries and cluelessness.
"Stay here, okay? No matter what happens, don't come out." Sweats were running all over his pale and worried face. Without even replying, he quickly placed the clueless little girl and placed the most meaningful and loving kiss on her head which she has never thought would be the last kiss she received from her dad.
"Dad?" Tears were starting to litter down on her pale white cheeks.
"I love you, Lilly. Take care, my only princess!" He said and everything passed by quickly.
The next thing she knew was that the piercing loud gunshots were heard amidst the forest.
Nobody could find her. She was scared. Clueless. Helpless. Tears were falling down silently with her swollen eyes were about to run out of the salty liquid.
The sight in front of her has always haunted her through her life. The innocent young girl had to witness the death of everyone around her.
Behind the big bush her father hid her, through her blurry vision, she could see the lifeless body of her parents that were laying on the ground.
"D-da-da-d... M-m...mo-" She was choking silently while trying not to be seen.
"Find her!" The people scattered away and she walked cautiously and silently out from where she was hiding.
The horrible scene escalated. Behind the bush, she could only view her parents, but outside from this, everything was causing her a trauma.
Laying near her deceased parents were her professors. The sight of them made her wanted to close her eyes and forget about everything, every bit that she had witnessed. Their once built and clean body was now covered in bright red liquid as if it was a pool of red wine. Their eyes weren't closed and they were staring lifelessly straight at her.
She unconsciously jerked her eyes upward and found the source of the bloody pool around her.
Two. bloody. holes. In their head.
"Mr. Rog-er... Mrs. Bai-" She couldn't speak a word. Her parents were laying on the earth floor while it was starting to rain in the middle of the summer.
No matter how hard she cried, how hard she was trying to get a word out of her mouth, she couldn't. Her legs were seemed to bail on her and she was starting to feel the irony smell running through her nostrils.
"Lilly!" Someone called. "There you are!"
Before she could even close her professors' eyes and hug her deceased parents for the last time. She was taken away into darkness.
"LILLY! WAKE UP!" Someone called worriedly. "LILLY! LILLIAN!"
I opened my eyes and rose up in sweats. I was gasping for air.
"MY GOD, LILLY!" I was pulled into her gentle hug and was soothingly comforted.
"I have it again." I choked between fallen tears. "This hasn't happened in awhile. Why did it occur again?"
My voice were horribly wavering and dry. The picture of everyone's death was clearer as if I had just witnessed it yesterday. I was trying to forget this and I partially succeeded. Ever since I have been moving from place to place, this nightmare has started to disappear. However, it is all coming back today.
The blood, the lifeless bodies that were laying on the ground, the dead eyes that were staring straight at me piercing my soul like daggers, the loud gunshots, their weaked evil voice haunting me from time to time. I have tried to never bring it up in my head and I sort of make it. But, this nightmare, it has returned. It has come back. It has resurfaced and every bit of my confidence has dissolved.
