Liz Collins

Ohhhh no..... I will be late for the meeting!

I was going to be late for the meeting today and Tori was driving like a maniac, trying to avoid any accidents.
We reached the meeting room just in time before the meeting started.

Our CEO a.k.a what I mentally call him, The Big Headed Jerk, entered the room looking all-mighty with his typical, extremely high quality, business suit. He soon briskly commenced the presentations, orders, plans, directions, etc. Me and a few more employees were quickly taking notes and conversing for God knows how long.

"Everyone is dismissed." Thankfully, he eventually terminated the meeting.
My seat was pretty far from the door, so almost everyone had exited. I was preparing my stuff and about to go out of the room, when a deep, commanding voice from the head of the table, was solemnly verbalized.

"Everyone, BUT you, Ms.Collins." My walking figure was now straighter than before and I went a bit stiff at the moment. However, soon all of that subsided when I turned to him.

"Me!?" I flatly said as I pointed my index finger at myself.

"Well, do we have any other Collins in here?" He mocked when he was walking towards me.

"No, I suppose. So, how may I help you?" I blankly asked him, wanting to finish this as soon as possible.

There are only the two of us in the big wide meeting room. The door is already closed due to the fact that it is a Push and Pull.

He is now standing in front of me, face to face, and handing me a USB.

"I want you to alter these designs in here and write out a full specific description on each and every one of them." His dominating, deep voice ordered.

"OK. And when's the deadline?"

"Tomorrow. Also, I want to have your designs on the same day, too. Do you have any problem with that?"

"No, sir." I simply answered with a smug face on.

"Good to hear." He said with what I supposed, a smirk on his face and went out of the room. I went back to my office and plugged the USB to my computer to check out my new duty.

My jaw had literally dropped to the floor when I saw how many designs he had given me to work on.

What the afcdfbvjkbv????  50 designs!?
Are you seriously kidding me?? How the heck am I going to finish all of that by tomorrow?? Not to mention, my designs I'm currently working on!!

Urgh.... My ataraxia is running out because of that controlling freak!

I looked at the time and my misery just expanded. 12:30??? How can that meeting take so long? Guess I have to skip lunch and start working on this.

I am working on my 20th designs and my eyes are hurting from staring at the bright computer screen for hours.
I have already messaged Tori that I will take a taxi home because I need to stay late at the office to finish this freaking assignment. She didn't approve at first due to my safety, but I tried to convince her and at last she gave in.

I took a quick glance at my watch and realized that I lost track of time. It's already 7:30pm and I now have not even finish this thing yet. The glassy door opened and came in the guy who tortured me for this.

"Why are you still here?" He asked as he was walking into my office. "I thought you had already gone home with Tori."

"Well, you're wrong. Thanks to you and your freaking long task, I have to stay here and finish all of them before tomorrow!" I gritted my teeth, spitting out my words with venom.

"Whatever! I don't care, I want it exactly by tomorrow. No excuses." He demanded and he really seemed like he didn't care at all about my anger. "I will be taking you home regarding Tori's request. And no protesting to that offer." He walked out the door and I saw his silhouette, outside my office, waiting for me.

"Fine!" I scowled, knowing that throwing protests will only waste my time. I'm preparing everything and thinking of continuing my work at home. I walked out and saw him, leaning over the glass.

"Took you long enough." He scoffed and started walking.

"What a conceited, controlling jerk!" I mumbled, not sure if he heard it.

"What did you say?" He immediately turned his head and body to me and started walking towards me.

"I said that you're a conceited, controlling jerk! Got any problems?" I snapped loudly, making his jaw clenched and lips tightened. He was walking towards me, starting to close the gap between us.

I don't want to be near him because trust me, I really want to strangle him right now, but I'm not going to show that. He might be suspicious of my skills. So, I prefer to act normal when I'm meeting the devil himself.

Every step he took forward, I stepped back. He was staring at me intensely with his eyes stuck on my cold ones. I know I learn to be confident, strong and all, but I've never ever seen him this angry before. To be honest, there's a mixed appearance of nervousness and anxiety in my body. I swear he's very very furious right now and I can see burning red flames in his blue eyes.

My back suddenly came in contact with the office glass behind me. I know that I'm keeping my blank and cold face on, but my inside is screaming for help. He is now in front of me and I can see full anger on his face. I was expecting him to do something horrible to me, probably take his wrath out on me, but my prediction was wrong.

"Let's see what this jerk can do." He leaned in and whispered calmly, closely to my ears, sending me discomfort and tickles to my skin. He leaned back and smirked, seeing my facial expression which consisted of slightly widened eyes and thinly parted lips.

He turned and walked away, with his back facing me as I muttered "Don't judge a book by its cover." Making sure that he didn't hear me this time or else.

I might have never been this situation before and I might show a bit of my emotions to him, but I make sure that a piece of my facial expression and feelings won't ever make him look down on me.

However, after that one statement he made, I'm sure I'm in deep trouble right now.
