Liz Collins

With my white T-shirt on, under the cover of my black leather jacket, a pair of black skinny jeans worn atop of my worn out brown combat boots, I am hastily walking through the arrival door, dragging my not-too-small luggage, trying to find the only one person whom I eagerly want to meet physically over a long time. My eyes are a little bit squinting, roaming over the busy, crowded area which is full of people.

"Boo!" someone creeps up behind me.

"Seriously, Tor!" I slightly chuckle.

"Dude, you're no fun." Tori pouts.

"Ugh... Come on." I literally roll my eyes, deliberately diss her.

"Whatever! Just give me a hug, girl." she opens her long arms up, expecting me to fit in the space between them.

"Nope! Not gonna happen." I jokingly stick my tongue out at her.

"I'm going to do it anyway."

Before I can even reply, I am crashed into a bone-breaking hug from the girl in front of me.

"It's been such a long time." I hear she mumbles next to my ear.

We released our hug then she quickly dragged me to her car. I basically put my luggage in the back of her white Porsche car and hopped in the passenger seat beside her.

"Ready for your new life?" She excitedly asks me as she is reversing the car.

"Of course." I hesitantly reply her, knowing deep inside, I'm not ready to face this new world I will be living in.

The drive was surprisingly short,  filled with us singing and jamming to the music in the radio without having anything to worry.

We pulled over at a considerably big house which has a black roof on the top.

The gate opened and we drove into it.  The car was parked in the garage which was constructed beside the two-storey house.

We got out of the car and I was aware that a fairly tall guy was greeting Tori and she signaled him to get my luggage out of the car.

Tori opens the door of her house. We chiefly walk in and to be honest, I am surprisingly fascinated with the lovely interior design of the house. It is embellished with simple decorations which makes it, welcome us with a cozy and homey atmosphere.

My thoughts of the house was interrupted by the girl standing right beside me.

"So, you like it?" Tori acquires while we are roaming into the house. "I frankly decorate it myself."

"Yep, it provides these comfy feelings which makes me want to stay." I shortly reply her with my eyes wandering around.

"I'm glad you like it. Come on, let's go upstairs to your room."

We went up the white marble stairs and she led me to my room which was located on the first floor, on the right side.

We entered the room where I'm supposed to stay for an indefinite amount of time.

The room is designed with high ceilings and a small chandelier being positioned fairly in the middle of the room. There's a big white desk between the windows. Furthermore, the white bed is placed near a window with a set of light blue and purple sleeping cushions like a pair of pillows, a mattress, sensible and comfortable blanket, etc. In addition, there is also a white closet which is fairly beside the bed.

"Don't worry about the clothes. I've got that all controlled." Tori tells me as I gradually opened the closet.

"Wow! That's a lot, Tor. You must have spent plenty of money on my necessities." I was completely shocked to see many clothes were hanging in the closet. Plus, there are various pairs of shoes lying on the platform under the clothes.

"Nah... It's definitely fine for me to provide these for you." She states casually as if it's nothing of a concern.

"Thanks, Tor! For these.... I would probably don't know where I'm going to be without you in my life." I sincerely thank her because without her, I wouldn't be able to survive right now.

"That's what we are for, right?"

"Yeah, you are truly considered as my sister even though we aren't biologically related." It's true. I always think of her as my sister instead of a friend. She already helped me a lot and she said that she is and always will help me in the future. I'm very very thankful to have her by my side. We went through so much hurdles in the past and we are going to deal with others in the future. However, I also vow that I will unquestionably do the same for her.

"Get rest first. I'm going to go to my office. You can explore the house if you want. One more thing, if you want anything just call me. Here's your phone. Also you're name is now Liz Collins." She hands me a brand new iPhone 7 plus. I look at it with wide eyes then ask.

"I still have my phone. You don't need to give me this." I politely decline her offer.

"Just use this one. It might be risky to use your old phone because they can find you."

"But... " I hesitate. She has done so much for me. I'm literally ashamed that I can't do anything for myself right now.

"Here!" She briefly gives me the phone. "I need to go now. I will be back later, so we can have dinner together and talk about your new identification."

Before I even have the chance to reply, she has already dashed out of the room. I'm not really tired or I have a jet lag either. Hence, I get the opportunity to explore the house.

I took a shower and changed into something which I found more comfortable. I'm wearing an oversized white T-shirt with a pair of black track pants. I tie my hair into a messy bun and ready to discover the new residence I will be staying.

I was walking down the stairs when I met an elderly woman who I assumed to be in her 40s.

"Hello! Welcome to Ms.Grace's residence." She welcomed and introduced me. "I'm Sally. I'm the housekeeper here when Ms.Tori isn't home."

"Hello! Thank you for welcoming me in here. I'm Lil-Liz, yes Liz." Gosh, that was so close, I almost told her my real name.

"OK Liz, if you need help, you can call me and I will be there. By the way, do you want me to help you with the exploration of the house?"

"I think I do. I would be glad to have you help me since I don't want to get lost." I slightly chuckle as I answer her.

"Good then. Let's start."
