Liz Collins

"WHEN DID YOU RECEIVE THIS, LIZ?" She was indeed upset, worried and a bit angry with her eyes opened wide.

"The day when Rick and I fought with the guys." I kept my head down in guilt.

"YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD US SOONER!"

"I'm sorry." That's the only sentence that came out of my mouth as Tori took a deep sigh.

"Getting mad won't solve anything." Tori closed her eyes and was trying to calm down. "That's why they always appear and find you."

"I think he must have seen me at the event." I said. "Disguises couldn't cover everything. He knows me too well."

"Why? Why don't you tell us?"

"I know what Carson can do and if he wants something, he's making sure he gets it. I don't want to lose anybody again. Losing my family is cruel enough."

"Why Sam then? I thought you don't like him. You only consider him as a boss or just a friend."

"Little do you know, Tor, the love I had for Carson could change to hatred... And the hatred I have for Sam has turned to another feeling..."

"You... " Tori stared at me and I know what she wanted to ask.

"Yes. My answer is yes. But... I can't risk the people I like. Even though, if I have to tell Sam and we solve everything, I know he won't feel the same... To him, I'm just his employee and a friend he sometimes treats like his pet, husky or someone he can talk to, tease and joke around easily."

"Lillian... " Tori mumbled as she was pulling me into a hug when my tears were dropping onto her red Gucci shirt.

"Why do I have to fall for someone again? Why is everything so difficult for me? Why do I have to suffer so much?" The once cold hearted and strong girl is now gone. This fragile and vulnerable girl here is a part of her true self.

"I'm sure everything will work out, Lilly. I promise, princess."

We are here training and I swear that from now on, my feelings for Sam will be locked. If it's possible that he ever has the same feelings for me, I won't tell him. He deserves better. This girl has caused and put him in her own problems already. His men were killed because of me. I don't have the courage to tell him.

"Hey! How are you doing?" Sam asked me when he entered the room. They are teaching me and Tori now to defend ourselves. We already know most of it, but there are some new techniques we will learn.

"I'm fine." I was back to my smug self, but inside I was trying my best not to feel anything at all whenever I hear his voice or see his too perfectly structured face.

"You're fine alright." He chuckled when he saw me rolling my eyes. "Here. Catch!"

He literally threw a towel to me, seeing I was a little bit sweating. It almost hit my face if I didn't catch it in time.

"You should stop throwing things to people when you want to give something." I scowled and he smirked.
"Not my problem." He grinned evilly while asking. "Water?"

"No thanks!" I knew he was going to throw a bottle of water at me and I wasn't even sure I could catch that. I'm really exhausted after hours of training.

"By the way, your dress is already in your closet." He smirked and I scoffed.
"It better not be those short and tight ones, Parkinson." I warned him as he winked.

"I can't guarantee, sunshine." He wiggled his eyebrows and I grabbed an empty water bottle then smacked it in the middle of his head.

"You evil Satan!" I gritted my teeth then opened my eyes wide, after I realized what I had done.
