Jessica's POV:

After a tiring cheer leading practice, I finally reached home. I was so tired that all I wanted to do was just crawl into bed and fall asleep. As soon as I entered the house, I heard a sound coming from the kitchen. I thought it was Allie but it wasn't because Allie was watching television. I went into the kitchen to see mom cooking. "Hey mom." I greeted. "Oh, hey honey. You're back already." She said with a smile. "Yeah I am. What's the occasion mom? Normally you won't be back this early." I asked her. "Well, I decided to come home early because I've invited my new friend to dinner. I needed to prepare dinner so I asked for permission to leave early." "I see. Do they know about dad? " I asked. "They do. But they're rather nice people. Although they're rich, they still treat me well. And they actually feel for me." Mom said. "Do you need me to help with anything?" I asked. "Sure thing honey. That way we can finish quickly and go get ready before they arrive. So I helped mom prepare dinner and set the table for the guests. After that was done, I decided to go take a shower and have a little bit of alone time before the guests arrived. The whole time I couldn't help but think about the guests. Are they really as nice as mom said? I guess I'll have to find out for myself tonight. I decided to get dressed in something simple but not too fancy as this wasn't a formal dinner at a restaurant but only a dinner at home. It was like how I dress at home whenever mom, Allie and I have dinner together but a bit more decent as there was gonna be guests.

After that, I just jumped onto my bed and scrolled through my phone to see if I had any messages or notification from my social media accounts

After that, I just jumped onto my bed and scrolled through my phone to see if I had any messages or notification from my social media accounts. While I was going through all my stuff, mom called: "Jess! The guests have arrived!" With that, I just stuffed my phone into my pocket and went downstairs. Before reaching the bottom step, I took a deep breathe and said in my head: "Remember Jess. Be nice, welcoming and polite. One impolite behaviour can ruin mom's reputation."
