Jessica's POV:
After two days, I was finally allowed to be discharged and return home. But the doctor advised me to get plenty of rest. Which meant I was not allowed to do any work where I would strain myself. After arriving home, I felt so tired that I told mom I was going to have a nap in my room. She agreed and told me to call her if I needed anything. I nodded and went upstairs to my room. I then collapsed onto my bed and let sleep take over me. I opened my eyes to see Daniel and Brittany in front of me. They both had devilish grins on their faces and were eyeing me like a tiger eyes its prey. "Why are you doing this to me?" I asked them terrified. "We told you to stay away from Cody but you didn't. So this is your punishment for not obeying us." Brittany said as she took out a knife from her pocket and Daniel did the same. They both inched closer to me and without any warning Brittany cut me on the leg. "Ouch!" I yelped out in pain. She continued doing the same thing over and over again whilst Daniel cut my arm. "Ouch. Stop Daniel and Brittany. I'll do whatever you want me to do." I said begging them. I felt somebody shake me. I heard a familiar voice ask: "Jess, Jess, wake up are you ok?" I opened my eyes and saw Cody looking at me concerned. Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around him and cried onto his chest. "They were hurting me. It hurt so bad." I said. "Who?" He asked. "Daniel and Brittany." I replied. "There, there Jess. They can never hurt you now. I promise I won't let anybody hurt you ever again." Cody told me as he rubbed my back comfortingly.
Cody's POV:
I arrived at Jessica's house to check up on her. "Hey, Mrs. Williams." I greeted her mom as I entered. "Hey, Cody. Jessica is in her room." She told me. "Ok then, I'll just go and see her there." I said and walked up to her room. There she was on her bed fast asleep. She looked so peaceful. I carefully climbed into her bed not making a single sound and sat down next to her. I just continued to stare at her and admire her. Seeing her sleep was a huge blessing. She looked so perfect. She looks like an angel when she sleeps. If only she knew how much she meant to me. Suddenly, Jessica started screaming. "Ouch stop Daniel and Brittany. I'll do whatever you want me to do." She said. I began to shake her. "Jess, Jess, wake up are you ok?" I asked concerned. She opened her eyes and saw me. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around me and cried onto my chest. "They were hurting me. It hurt so bad." She said. "Who?" I asked her. "Daniel and Brittany." She replied. "There, there Jess. They can never hurt you now. I promise I won't let anybody hurt you ever again." I said and rubbed her back as an attempt to calm her down. We stayed like this for a while. When she finally calmed down, She let go of me and looked up at me. "What are you doing here?" She asked me. "I came to check up on you." I replied. She smiled. "Looks like you can't live without seeing me for a day." She said jokingly. "Who knows?" I replied. She began to giggle and soon enough I joined her. When we stopped giggling I told her: "Our friends are coming over to see you if you don't mind that is." "I don't mind at all I'm actually looking forward to see them. I feel so bored here." She said. Five minutes later, the doorbell rang and then we heard footsteps coming upstairs. Sure enough, there was Jordan, Julian, Carlos, Blake, Kayla, Marie, Chloe and Stephanie all at the door of Jessica's bedroom. "Jessica!" The girls said as they ran and engulfed her in a group hug. She hugged them back giggling at their childishness. "How are you feeling now?" Blake asked. "Much better now that you guys are here." Jessica replied. "What are we waiting for let's play a few games." I suggested and they all agreed with me. So we played games like UNO, spin the bottle and truth or dare. I watched Jessica throughout the games. She was so happy and she was beaming. Seeing her happy made me happy too. I'm so glad I got Jessica back in my life.
