Jessica's POV:

On Saturday just as we planned, Marie, Stephanie, Kayla, Chloe, and I went dress shopping. Currently, we were all in the mall, debating on which shop we should go to. After about three hours, all the girls had their dresses except me. I kept choosing dresses, but the girls kept giving me a thumbs down. "How about this one?" I asked as I picked another dress and held it out to show them. Just as I expected they shook their heads in disagreement. "What's wrong with this dress? It's comfy and it's decent and nice." I started to reason with them. "Are you kidding me Jess?" Kayla asked. "You're never gonna be able to fool us by picking out the most decent dress you see. You need divine not decent. You need to get a dress that knocks Cody off his feet." She added. "But guys...." I whined. "We're not even dating yet. We're just friends." I said. "We told you before Jess. That can change in a second. But seriously, do you think that you can hide the fact that you're in love with Cody from us?" Stephanie asked with a raised eyebrow. "I... um..." I stammered trying to form a proper sentence. "Thought so." She replied. "C'mon Jess. You don't have to worry about admitting anything to us. We're your friends. And we'll always be happy for you no matter what decision you make." Chloe said and the others nodded. "Ok fine." I said. "I think I'm in love with Cody Christian." I blurted out. They all had smirks on their faces like they knew what I was gonna say. Then all of a sudden, they just began screaming and jumping around: "YES!! Jess finally admitted her feelings for Cody!" They said and continued jumping around and making noise until people were beginning to give us dirty looks. "Guys, relax. I only said I like him but that doesn't mean he like me back." I told them in a whisper. "He definitely will like you back Jess. And even if he doesn't now, he will fall in love with you after seeing you in your prom dress." Chloe said. And I blushed. "Aww... Somebody's blushing." They cooed. "Now let's go get you the perfect dress." Kayla announced and before I could protest, I was dragged into many different stores and forced to try out different prom dresses. Finally, after fifteen minutes of trying on dresses, I finally found the perfect dress. "You look so beautiful in this dress, Jess." Marie gasped as soon as I walked out in that dress. "You should totally buy it." She added and the rest of the girls agreed. "I like this dress too. So yes, I'm gonna buy it." I said with a smile. After all the dress shopping we bought a few accessories and makeup items to go with the dresses that we just bought. After buying everything that we needed, we had lunch and then Marie dropped me off at my house. I went in and collapsed onto my bed, tired after all that shopping. For some reason, I have no idea why but images of Cody kept flashing through my mind. I recalled the moments I had with Cody. Memories of our first encounter, our fight, our stay-ins and almost everything that we did together came back to me and I smiled remembering them. We've been through a lot: Cody and I. Before meeting him, I made a promise to myself that I would never ever let myself to fall for any guy after dad left because I thought that guys would only lead to heartbreak. But after meeting Cody, he changed my life. He changed my whole perspective of boys and showed me what it was to be cared, missed and loved. He stood with me through all my tough times and never let me down. And he let me break down in front of me and gave me support when I need it the most. He stood by me even though I was harsh to him and saved me from Daniel and Brittany. He taught me that not all love stories will end up like my parents and that I should be strong. But most of all, he taught me one very important lesson in life: He taught me how to fall in love. And now, I realized that love isn't as bad as it seems like. Now, I'm head over heels for him and I hope he feels the same way as I do. I just can't wait for prom night now.
