Jessica's POV:

Today morning I was at my locker putting away my books when Cody walked up to me and said: "Jess, can we talk?" I closed the door of my locker before turning towards him and replied: "Sure thing Cody." "How long have you known Daniel?" Cody asked. "I've known him since we were kids. We used to go to the same school right until I moved here." I replied. "Is he a good guy?" "Yeah of course he is. What's up with all the questions about Daniel though Cody?" I asked curious about why Cody is asking me so many questions about Daniel all of a sudden. "Because..." Cody let out a huge sigh before continuing. "Daniel is not the guy you think he is Jess." "What do you mean by that?" I asked confused. "I mean to you he seems like a nice guy but in reality he's not." Cody replied. "What makes you think that?" "That's because I've seen him around before and from my observation he doesn't seem like a nice guy." "How sure are you that the guy whom you saw was Daniel?" I asked. "Jess, I'm one hundred percent sure that the guy I saw a few times was definitely Daniel." Cody said. "So what would you like me to do about it now Cody?" I asked him. "I want you to stay away from him." Cody replied bluntly. "Stay away from my best friend? Cody what makes you think that I'm gonna listen to you on this?" I asked. "Don't you believe me Jess. He's bad and I don't want you getting hurt." Cody said. "You're jealous aren't you Cody?" I asked finally realizing why he was doing all this. "Why in the world would I be jealous for?" Cody asked. "You're jealous that I've met Daniel again after months of not seeing him. You're jealous that we get along really well. You're jealous that you think Daniel is trying to ruin your relationship with me but he's not." I told him. "C'mon Jess. I'm not jealous that he's your friend. I just don't want to see you get hurt by him. I care about you Jess." "If you really care about me Cody, you would be happy that I met my best friend after months of not seeing him not jealous because you think he's trying to steal me away from you." "Because he is trying to separate the both of us. He is the cause of us having this stupid fight right now." Cody said. "Stop it Cody. None of this is Daniel's fault. It's all yours. It's all because of your jealousy that this stupid fight even took place." I shouted at him madly. "Well, I'm only telling you this because I care for you and I don't want to see you hurt." Cody shouted back at me. "Well then, why the hell do you care? I don't need you to tell me what to do and who to hang around with. I am a grown girl and I know how to take care of my ownself. So just stay away from my business and take care of yours only from now on Cody." I said. "And until you've gotten rid of that jealousy of yours don't even think of speaking or seeing me." I told him and turned to walk away. I heard Cody shout behind my back: "Fine! Leave! But don't come crying to me once you find out the truth. I won't be there to help you." But I didn't even give him a glance and just left him where he was.
