Jessica's POV:

It's been two months since that day happened. After a month of sleeping in a hotel room, mom was able to finally buy us a decent home to live in. Our new home was located in a very convenient area. Everything that we needed was nearby. Even our schools were located not very far from our house. It was just a fifteen minute walk. Speaking of school, as soon as we moved here, Mom signed us up for school. I was accepted at Pacific High and Allie's school was Sheridan Junior High. During the weekend, mom took us bought shopping to buy whatever was necessary for school. To be totally honest, I wasn't really excited about going to a new school. Going to a new school meant that I had to start all over again. Not that I had many friends in my previous school, I was actually finally learning to fit in there when this happened. Now it's gonna take me ages to adapt here. Especially since from what I've heard, this is a school where majority of the students are from wealthy families. That's gonna make me twice as hard for me to fit in. On Monday morning, I woke up with a depressing sigh. As much as I hated it, I had to go to school for my mom's sake. My mom has already been through enough and I certainly do not want to burden with me not wanting to go to school. So I dragged myself into the bathroom and took a shower. After that I got dressed in an outfit that I thought was decent enough for my first day.

I didn't dress up too much as I didn't feel the need to do so. After I got dressed, I went downstairs and had breakfast with mom and Allie. After breakfast, mom drove Allie and I to our new school. First we dropped Allie off at her school and then mom dropped me off at mine. "Have a great first day at your new school Jess." Mom said as soon as we arrived. "I hope so Mom." I said. "Don't be nervous Jess. I know you'll do fine trust me." Mom said and squeezed my hand to encourage me. "Thanks Mom." I said a I gave her a hug and got out of the car. I waved to her until she drove away. After that, I turned around and took a deep breath. It's now or never.
