Jessica's POV:

I woke up to the sound of snoring behind me. I rubbed my eyes and turned around to see a snoring Cody still fast asleep. I chuckled. I never knew that he was the kind of person to snore. It's funny and cute to see him like this in a way. Wait, cute? What am I saying? Ugh, I should stop drooling over him. "Yeah you should." A husky voice said. I came back to reality to see Cody awake and sitting up with a smirk on his face. "How do you know what I was thinking?" I asked. "Because you said that out too loud." He said still smirking at me. "Did I blurt out everything?" I asked. "Yeah I heard every single detail." He said. "I'm glad you think I'm cute." He said and I playfully slapped his shoulder. "Shut up Christian. You're not that cute." I said as I got out of bed. "I know you're lying." Cody said. "What if I'm not?" I asked him. "Well, to me you are beautiful." He murmured to himself. "Did you say anything?" I asked him. "No. Nothing at all." He replied and got out of bed. "What would you like for breakfast?" I asked him. "Cereal." He said and I nodded. I went downstairs and opened the cabinets in the kitchen to find the box of cereal. I found it and closed the cabinets. Then I went to the fridge to grab some milk. I grabbed two bowls as well as two spoons. Then I placed everything that I was holding on the table. Cody was already seated at the table, going through his phone. I handed him his bowl and he filled it with cereal. I did the same too. Then we sat down to eat. We chatted a little and caught up on lost time. God, I missed having conversations with Cody. The main reason I love have conversations with him is because you can always be real with him and he will never judge anything that you say and he also gives the best advice too. After breakfast, I washed the dishes. Then, I decided to head back home and grab a few things that I would need. "I'm going to my house for a while to grab some things." I informed Cody. "I could drive you there." Cody offered. "It's not a big deal Cody. I can walk. After my house is only a fifteen minute walk from here." I told him. "Are you sure you'll be fine on your own?" He asked me still unsure. "I promise I will be alright." I assured him. "Alright. Don't take too long and call me if there's an emergency." He told me. I nodded. I grabbed my phone and placed into my pocket and also my bag where my spare set of keys were. One set was with Daniel. I gave it to him because he was staying over at my place. I said goodbye to Cody and began to walk to my house. As soon as I reached, I used the keys to open the front door and walked in. It was quiet here. I closed the door when I heard a voice said: "Where have you been Jess? I was worried sick." It was Daniel and he sounded pissed. "Oh hey Daniel. I thought I sent you a message?" I asked him. "You did alright but who's house were you over at?" He asked. "I was at Cody's" I replied. "I'm just gonna grab a few things and I'll head back over there." I said. "Cody, Cody, Cody." Daniel said angrily. "He's everything you ever talk about. I hate it when you go on talking about him the whole day. Can't you see it's hurting me?" He asked me. His face expression changed. And I was scared to look at me. I tried to avoid him by trying to get past him and into my bedroom but he grabbed my hand. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked me. "Let go, Daniel." I said trying to break free from his strong grip. "I just wanna go to my room." I pleaded with him. "You're not going anywhere." Cody said and he pushed me until I hid a wall. "You know Jess, it's about time I told you the truth." He said looking at me. "You wanna know the reason I came back? I came back as revenge." I looked at him in shock and confusion. "You wanna know why? I loved you since we were in middle school. But you never noticed me. You never gave me a chance. Whenever you dated another guy, I would be heart-broken. So I did things to ruin your relationship. But you still never realized it and kept on hurting me. I finally saw you after a while and I planned on making you mine. But that bastard Cody got in my way. All you could do was talk about him night and day. And now you even ditched me because of him." He said angrily. "You rascal. I can't believe that I actually trusted you. Cody was right all along. I should have listened to him but no I chose you over him because I valued our friendship more. So it was your plan that Cody and I should fight isn't it? " I asked him. He didn't say anything. But I now know the truth. "How could you Daniel? I trusted you." I said and hit him in the chest. "Yes. I made you and Cody fight. But you know what, I'm not in the least bit sorry about that. Because I want you and I will do anything I can to have you." He said. "I don't love you Daniel. I never did and I never will." I said strongly. "Then you'll have to face the consequences darling." He said with a smirk. He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and poured some liquid onto it. "Daniel what are you..." Before I could finish my sentence he placed the handkerchief over my mouth. I tried to break free again but it was useless. Slowly, I began to lose consciousness and then everything turned pitch black.
