Jessica's POV:
Dinner went on smoothly. Kyle and Allie both got along really well. I looked at them satisfied. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Cody was looking at me with a small smile on his lips. I knew he knew how I felt. After dinner, we watched a movie together. I noticed that halfway through the movie, Kyle and Allie were starting to feel a little tired. Kyle began yawning and stretching. So I asked them: "Are you kiddos ready for bed?" They nodded sleepily. "Let's get you both to bed." I said and stood up. Cody stood up too to get Kyle but Kyle said: "I want Jessica to put me to bed." I smiled and nodded. "Will you be ok with the two of them?" Cody asked. "Yeah. It will be fine I promise. I'll be back in a while." I said and he nodded. I first put Allie to bed. After that, I took Kyle to Cody's room where he'll be sleeping. I tucked him in bed and said goodnight. I turned around to leave but I was stopped by Kyle who held my hand. "Thanks Jessica for everything. I like you. Goodnight." "Goodnight Kyle. I like you too. Sleep tight." I said and kissed his forehead before walking out of the room. After that me and Cody stayed up watching a comedy show. At about eleven at night, we decided to call it quits and get some rest.
Cody's POV:
I made sure I was very quiet as I entered the room in case I would wake Kyle up. I walked over to him and shook him a bit. He didn't budge. That means, he was already knocked out. I carefully climbed into the other side of the bed and pull the covers over myself. As soon as I was all tucked it. Kyle said: "Goodnight Cody." "Goodnight Kyle. I thought you were asleep?" "No I wasn't. I was waiting for you." Kyle answered. There was a long pause before Kyle continued. "Jessica is a great friend isn't she Cody?" "She sure is Kyle. I'm glad to have her as my friend." I told him. "Me too. I'm glad to get to know her through you. Can I ask you something Cody?" "Sure thing lil bro. You know you can ask me anything." I told Kyle. "Do you like Jessica more than just a friend?" I was stunned at his sudden question. But his question made me realize something: And that is I can't keep denying to myself that I'm falling for Jessica Williams day by day. "Yeah Kyle. I guess I'm starting to fall for her." I answered honestly because I knew that I could trust my brother with everything. "I knew it Cody. I saw the way you look at her. Don't let her go Cody. She's a real keeper. You'll regret loosing her." Kyle said. "I'm not planning on letting her go that easily little bro. Never planed on." I assured him. "Now, it's about time we get some sleep. Don't you think?" Kyle nodded sleepily. And with that we said our final goodnights and let sleep take over us.
