Chapter 37:

We had gradually been driving for a long time,

“Pattie you said we were going to the park, but I can tell we are on our way to another city” I told Pattie,

“We are going to a park, just not one close to us” Pattie explained, a smirk played on her lips. I sat back in my seat.

20 minutes later we arrived to Central Park in NYC,

“Pattie why are we in NYC?” I asked her,

“I thought we should get away from home and just relax” Pattie smiled,

“But there is no playground here for the kids, at least not close to where we are right now ” I told her,

“Yes there is, right over there!” Pattie said as she pointed to a playground, on a bench close to the playground a handsome boy sat, or I couldn’t see his face because he had sunglasses and a hoodie on. I shook it off and took Luke in my arms.

Ella held hands with Pattie, we walked over to the playground, I sat Luke down in the sand and he started to crawl around, I walked over to Ella and started to push her on the swing.

“Mommy higher!” Ella yelled, I did what she said. I was too busy to swing Ella that I didn’t notice that Luke had crawled over to the handsome boy.

*Justin’s POV*

Luke had crawled over to me and Y/N hadn’t noticed, I took him up and took off my sunglasses,

“DADDY!” Luke squealed, I quickly shushed at him, he smiled and hugged me.

“Hey buddy, I have missed you” I told him, he held onto my hoodie with a tight grip as if he was afraid I would disappear.

“daddy” he said again, it was strange to hear him say those words, mostly because I never had heard him talk,

“Yeah buddy, I’m daddy” I told him, “And I won’t disappear ever again” I continued,

“LUKE! WHERE ARE YOU?” Y/N suddenly yelled, I quickly took my sunglasses on again and stood up,

“Here, he ran over to me” I told her,

“Thank you so much” she breathed as she took him from my arms, he fought again,

“daddy” he said, he started crying,

“No sweetie daddy isn’t here, daddy is far away, and remember he was just mommy’s friend” Y/N told him, that literally broke my heart, I was just one of her old friends, she didn’t want me to be my kids father,

“daddy” he cried, he stretched his arms towards me,

“I’m so sorry, he thinks you’re his father!” Y/N explained. I pulled my hoodie and sunglasses off.

“Hey” I said, Y/N covered her mouth and turned around, she started walking away, I quickly started to run after her,

“Justin leave me and the kids alone” she said, she gave Luke to Pattie,

“No Y/N I love you! And what I did was a mistake and regrets it every day! You are all that matters to me!” I told her,

“Justin what you did hurted me, and I won’t ever be able to forgive you! We were getting married!” she said, she turned around and looked me directly in the eyes; tears were streaming down her cheeks, also on me, I walked over to her and locked our lips, in the start she didn’t kiss back, but a few second later she kissed back. Her hands found their way around my neck as I locked mine around her waist.
