Next day I woke up to see the sky full of dark clouds, it was cold and everything was shut off. I woke up Justin and had him go get the kids as I tried to see why everything was off. I turned on my phone and went to see if there was anything in the news and there was. A big storm was on its way over LA and they recommended people to stay inside because it would be feeling like a tornado with lightning and thunder plus a lot of rain. Justin came into the bedroom with Luke on one side and Ella on the other. Apparently Ella had been crying because of the thunder and lightning, but I hadn’t heard her. She saw me and ran over to me, she jumped into bed and hugged me tight,
“Mommy what’s happening?” she cried,
“It’s just a storm baby” I told her, she nodded her head and started sobbing in my shoulder,
“Shh, it’s okay baby, everything will be alright, as long as we are here together, nothing will happen” I told her, she nodded her head and I dried some of her tears.
“Now let’s cuddle and watch something on Netflix on the IPad” I told her, she nodded her head and Luke and Justin got into bed with us. Justin found an IPad and logged into Netflix. We decided to watch Madagascar. I quickly went downstairs and found some candy, and then I found some diet coke and went upstairs again.
“This is going to be so cosy” I smiled; Justin nodded his head and took the things from me. Then I went to pick Evelyn up so she could continue to sleep on my chest. We started the movie and cuddled together. Ella and Luke totally forgot about the storm, but Justin and I didn’t because every single minute, the storm would get closer to our house. Now and then we would look at each other and then I would find my phone to see if there was anything new. Suddenly Elena called, I was quick to pick up and say her name,
“I’m just calling to hear if you guys are alright? Ryan, the kids and I are fine, but I just wanted to hear if anything bad happened at yours” she said, I breathed out and smiled,
“We are fine, right now we’re watching Madagascar on Netflix on one of our IPads, so they kids doesn’t even notice that there is thunder” I told her, she laughed and I laughed to,
“Funny, Ryan, Penelope and I are watching Shrek on one of our IPads to” she laughed, I smiled and laughed to.
“How are the little ones?” I asked her,
“They are perfect” she said,
“Even though they’re only 3 days old, they still are perfect” she continued. I smiled and nodded my head even though she couldn’t see me.
“Sorry I have to go! Our house is shaking like crazy right now” I told Elena as I ended the call. Justin took Ella and Luke in his arms as I took Evelyn in mine and then we ran downstairs and into the air-raid shelter. Ella started panicking as we wrapped them in blankets,
“It’s okay Ella, we are just making sure that you’re alright” I told her, she nodded her head and I laid her down on one of the beds. Soon after her and Luke fell into a deep slumber. Justin and I sat down on one bed and Justin wrapped his arms around me.
“I hope we are going to be alright” I told him,
“I hope so to” he replied.
