When I came home, the sun already went down, and when I walked in I saw Martha with a worried look.
"Where were you, Y/N", she hugged me, "I was really worried and heard Jack was in town so I made him find you".
"I'm sorry, I got lost in the moment, I went downtown," I sniffled.
"Why are you crying? Y/N? What's wrong?", she asked.
"I'm sorry", I cried.
"What did you do?", she hugged me looking clueless.
"I drank alcohol", I told her.
"Oh, dear, don't worry, I'm not mad", she promised me.
"Not only that", Jack jumped in,"She got drunk with a group of men",
"As long as nothing else happened, it's fine, but George will be home any minute, so be careful, I wouldn't tell him anything if I were you", she warned me.
"Thank you for not being mad at me", I thanked Martha.
"Don't worry, dear, you'll be fine", Martha said.
All of the sudden we heard a door slam
"I'm home" George said, "And I brought someone".
I thought for a while, guessing who he brought.
"Y/N, meet Alexander Hamilton", George exclaimed.
Alexander came and kissed my hand, "I heard it's your birthday today", he winked, signaling me to put on a show.
"Oh, thank you, my name is Y/N", I said, playing my part.
"Y/N, you have a beautiful name", he complimented.
"Thanks", I said.
We all sat down for dinner and George told us all about the war he fought. I was obviously interested and accidentally put my elbows on the table.
"Elbows", Martha corrected me.
"Sorry, it's just that Dad's stories of going to war sound so interesting and cool", I admired his stories because they reminded me of Abuelo.
"So, Y/N, tell me about yourself", Alexander asked.
"I would love to tell you but, it's a long story, maybe later", I said, blushing a little.
"Why don't I hear about you, Alexander?", I interrogated him.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude", Alexander scratched the back of his neck.
"Please do, I barely know anything about you", George said.
"Well, when I was ten my father left me and my mom, then my mom died when I was twelve so I moved in with my cousin, that cousin committed suicide. After that I went to go clerk for my late mother's landlord, and I finally got here, to the mainland", Alexander explained.
"Where were you from before?", I asked.
"Nevis", he answered.
He continued, "And here I am, ready to fight for my country's rights and freedom from those Brits, Sir"
After dinner, we talked a little more, sadly, Alexander said he had to leave.
I hugged him to find an excuse to talk to him alone. "Good show, please write to me", I whispered.
"I promise, I will write to you, see you at the Winter's ball" he whispered back.
I closed the door behind him. George looked at me, pleased.
"What?", I asked.
He hugged me, "Happy Birthday, kiddo". I hugged him back, "Thanks, dad"
"Can I have a birthday wish?", I asked.
"Anything, kiddo, name it", he told me.
"Let me join the war with you"
His eyes widened and let go of me and grabbed my shoulders to give me my response...
