I got up early and went downstairs. I saw the piano and and I had an urge to play it. I played in piano so it was quiet and soft. I played for a while until I saw that Philip was awake.
"Good morning, Philip." I spoke to him.
"Good morning, mama. The piano was beautiful." He rubbed his eye and yawned.
"What do you want to do today? There's a park I know. We can go there." I offered.
"Ok. Let's go there." He smiled.

After we ate breakfast, when everyone was awake, we got ready and went towards the park with mom. This was the park I mentioned to Alexander. It was truly beautiful, with flowers bloomed, birds chirping, little baby ducks waddling after their mother. The water in the lake was very still and only showed ripples when the wind was present. I grabbed a stone, that was smooth, and skipped it in the water. It skipped. 1...2...3...4...5...6 and it plopped into the water. The kids ran around, as I sat on a bench and stared at the lake.
"Isn't the lake beautiful?" A familiar voice asked.
I turned my head to see no other than,...

Thomas Jefferson.
"Yes. I used to love coming here. Too bad Alexander couldn't make it." I sighed.
"You're on vacation?" He questioned. "And Alexander isn't with you?"
"No, he's still working." I answered.
"If you ever need somewhere to go, you can come over to Monticello." He offered.
"Thank you, maybe I'll come."
"The kids can run around, there's a lot of space."
"Thank you. So why aren't you at work?" I asked.
"Because, it's summer and everything has bloomed, the birds are chirping, all that. Who would work when such things like this happen?"
"Yeah, makes sense."
"Y/n, we're still friends, right? We still have our memories from when we hanged out? Before I went to France?" He quizzed.
"Yeah, why?"
"I mean, we haven't hanged out for a while. And I hate your husband, no offense. And it seems that our friendship is weak."
"Oh, well, I mean we're hanging out right now." I pointed out.
He looked at me, with a look that kind of looked a little worried. And kissed me, on the lips. I was shocked. I didn't know what to do. Thoughts were rushing in my head. Do I kiss back or pull away and slap him? I never thought of him as this. Only friends. Just. Friends.
Thomas's POV:
I had to kiss her. I knew, deep down inside I was still in love with her. Just like I was when we were close friends. She didn't pull away or kiss back. So I pulled away first and waited for her response.
Y/n POV:
He pulled away from the kiss and luckily, the children weren't around. I couldn't process it. What the hell do I do?
"Thomas?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He answered back, looking very scared.
"What the hell?"
"I'm sorry. It's just that you're so beautiful-" he started.
"And married!" I pointed out.
"And you just complete me." He kept talking.
"..." I didn't know what to say. I mean, I haven't gotten a real kiss in a while. And for some reason, I felt something. Something that I felt long time ago, during the war. A connection.
"I..." I started to speak. "Please don't tell Alexander," I begged, having tears in my eyes. "I didn't mind the kiss and I didn't hate it."
"Nobody needs to know." He whispered in my ear.
