"Because I'm Thomas."
I looked at the shadowy figure to indeed see it was Thomas. "I'm sorry." I comment.
"It's fine. You can come back to my place if you want." He offered.
"I can't. I know it's only been a few months, but my mom has grown suspicious." I warned him.
"What did you tell her?" He asked.
"I told I go drink at the bar. She believed it, but it's too risky. I want to end this affair, if that's okay with you." I suggested.
"If that makes you happy, we can end the affair, but no one will know. Or else someone will blackmail us. Don't tell anyone and I won't tell anyone. I will miss waking up to see you though."
"Great. I'm sorry that this happened. At least we're lucky that no one found out. And that I didn't get pregnant."
"You're not? Thank God, we can not have evidence that this happened." He started to leave the bedroom. I went out of the bedroom and made my way to my bedroom.
"Y/n?" I looked around to see mom. Her arms were crossed and she looked mad. "What happened? What's going on?"
Shit. I'm screwed.
"Listen, nothing happened." I tried to explain.
"Oh, really? It didn't look like that to me. Y/n! I thought I raised you better than this!" She lectured me.
"Nothing happened." I whisper yelled, I didn't want to wake the kids. "Please don't tell anyone." I started to shed tears. "I'm ashamed of what I've done and it won't happen again. I promise."
"How do I know this is over? How do I know that you won't become a slut like those girls on the streets?" She questioned.
"Because I'm your daughter and I'm human. Don't humans make mistakes? Aren't I just being human? I feel guilt, a lot of it." I fell to my knees, still sobbing(tomorrow~).
She bent down to my level and held my close to her, stroking my hair. "As long as I know you won't do this again, I won't tell anyone. I know Philip and Angelica would be crushed if they knew. And Alexander would be heart broken." I sobbed in her arms.
"Why did I do this? I'm such a slut." I comment.
"Don't put yourself down, Y/n. Let's have some tea and relax." She offered.
"Thank you for being here for me." I wiped the tears away.

Alexander's POV:
"How could you do this!" I looked down at Maria as she begged me to pay her husband so I can still see her. "Did you know about the letter?" I shoved it in her face.
"I didn't know about the letter. Please stay, all you have to do is pay my husband and you can have me. Please, I'm helpless." She held onto my shirt.
"Lord tell me how to say no to this." I mumbled. "I can not say no to this. Her body's all mine and I don't go."
"So?" James Reynolds walked in.
"Nobody needs to know." I assured him.

Y/n's POV:
Summer ended and we came back home. Philip was getting ready to leave for boarding school.
"You got your hair brush? Socks?" I helped him put on his coat.
"Yes mom!" He answered.
"Woah! Sudden name change." I commented.
"Mama, I'll be fine. And I got everything."
"Make sure to write letters to us, I know your sister will miss you and so will Theodosia."
"I know. I'll be back for the summer."
"Oh, my baby, I'll miss you." I kneeled down and kissed his cheek.
"Mom! I'm not a baby anymore!"
"Alexander! Come say goodbye to your son!" I yelled. "He's leaving soon."
"I'll do it later!" Alexander yelled back.
"Your father! Unbelievable!" I marched up the stairs, dragging Philip with me. I walked into his office. "Say goodbye to your son right now." I ordered.
"I'm sorry I've been so busy Philip, have fun at school, don't forget to write to me." He walked towards Philip and hugged him.
"Thanks Pops. I have to go now." He rushes down the stairs. I rush after him.
"Be good Philip. Don't get into any trouble." I watched as he took a carriage and left.
"Bye Mama!" He waved through the window.
I walked back inside.
"Mama! Can we study please? When Philip gets back, I want to know something that he would learn!" She ran over with a math book.
"Sure thing." I gently took the math book from her and skimmed through the pages. "Let's start with some word problems."
I taught Angelica, when I heard the front door open.
"Y/n!" I heard a familiar female voice.
"Angelica?" I asked.
"Yeah Mama?" Angelica answered.
"You named your kid after me?" Angelica Schuyler walked in.
"Yeah! Oh my God! It's really you! All the way from London?" I ran and hugged her tightly.
"Yes, it's really me." She assured me.
"Angelica, this is Angelica Schuyler. Your aunt and my best friend. I named you after her." I introduced.
"Auntie Angelica!" Angelica hugged Angelica.
I may be an only child but the Schuyler sisters are my sisters.
"So, Angelica, what brings you to here?" I asked.
"I just came to visit Eliza and Peggy and well, you and Alexander. Where's Philip?" She looked around.
"He left for boarding school today." I answered.
"Aw, I guess I'll have to come back just to see him."
"Would you like some tea? And we can chat more." I offered.
"Sure."
So I got the tea pot and filled two cups for me and Angelica.
"How is Eliza and Peggy? I haven't seen them for a while." I asked.
"They're doing great. Eliza is really happy and she got married, but it was a private wedding. And Peggy married Stephen Van Rensselaer III. He's a distant cousin and the tenth richest man in America." She informed me.
"Oh, wow. I should go visit them." I sipped my tea.
A couple hours later, Alexander arrived home. "Hey Y/n, oh! Angelica! Long time no see." He noticed her.
"Alexander! It's good to see your face." She smiled at him.
"Come spend some time with us." I suggested.
"I can't. I have work to do." He answered.
"But I came all this way." Angelica mentioned.
"She came all this way." I repeated.
"I guess a couple minutes wouldn't hurt." He walked over to the couch.
"Finally! Would you like some tea?" I asked.
"Yes please." I poured him a cup. We all talked for what seemed like forever. Angelica sat on my lap and listened to us talk.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Alexander asked.
"I can't. I have to meet up with Eliza and Peggy, we're supposed to meet at Daddy's place," She got up. "But it was nice seeing all of you again. Don't forget to write. Goodbye." She walked out the door. Alexander got up from the couch and started walking towards the stair case.
"Where are you going?" I asked him.
"I still have to work. But I can promise you that I'll sleep tonight." He assured me as he continued to walk up the stairs. I felt happy, this was the first time in a while that he's ever decided to sleep.
