I can't believe it. Finn can't use a gun?! Was he lying to me? Does he want to see me hurt? Was he only here because of me? All these questions and more were swirling in my head. Alexander just looked at me with a face that said what are we going to do? I guess he was just as surprised as I was. "Please say something Y/n. You're making me nervous", Finn looked at me. "I will do what I can to help you", I sigh, man, this guy is a handful. "Thank you", he smiled. Our talking was interrupted by the guns being fired along with the cannons. "We have to go", I explain to Finn, he just follows, like a lost puppy, Alexander and me. Finn and I get to a safe place and I grab my gun and show him how to set it up and fire. "See? Like this", I shoot a red coat, he looks at me in awe. "I want to try!", Finn exclaimed. "Sure", I hand him my gun. He sets it up perfectly and shoots a red coat right in the head. "There you go. You learn fast. Let's go win our freedom!", I yell over the noise. We get out of the safe spot and start shooting. It isn't long till Alexander comes and seems to be jealous of the attention I have given to Finn. "You should've just let him die", Alexander smirked. "Hey!", I look at him. "Just kidding", he tries to ease the tension. "Sometimes you can be a real jerk", I tell Alexander as I aim for a red coat. "And sometimes you are the nicest, bad ass, coolest girl I have met", he compliments. "Aww, thanks", I still focus on the red coats charging at us. "What? No kiss?", Alexander asked, as if he was complimenting for a reward. "Later, let's go star gazing. Just you and me. No one else, no one trying to kill us", I explained. "I love you", Alexander tried to say, but the noise was canceling out the comment.

After a long day of ear splitting noise and blood, it was over and the moon came into the night sky. The stars twinkled innocently, like all that fighting didn't just happen. I was indeed tired but I couldn't fall asleep. What was I forgetting? Then, I realize that I was supposed to meet Alexander for star gazing. I would always do it and sometimes Alexander would join in. So it was kind of a tradition between the two of us. We would talk to each other and sometimes we would kiss under the bright light of the moon and stars. I got ready and walked out of the tent. Sadly, no one was here, in the tent. Laurens was in South Carolina. Lafayette was at Chesapeake Bay. And Hercules was spying on the British. I miss them, it was too quiet without them. If they were here right now, they would tease me and say that I should just marry Alexander already. I walk towards the hill, where was our spot to watch the stars. Alexander was already there watching the stars twinkle, like a million diamonds in the sky. "Hey", I greeted. "Isn't it beautiful?", Alexander asked. "Yeah", I sigh and sit next to him, he wraps his arm around my shoulder. "But not as beautiful as you, of course", he kissed my slightly hot cheek. "Oh, stop it", I laughed. I snuggled into his chest and watched the stars twinkle. "I love you", Alexander randomly blurts, "you didn't hear me on the battlefield. But that's what I said. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." I didn't know what to say. I really loved him but I never thought about marriage till he brought it up, I was getting to the age where you had to marry or you will be alone for the rest of your life. "I love you too, my Alexander", I brought my face close to his and made him lay on his back to the point where I was on top of him. I kissed him long and passionately, trying to show how much I love him with just one kiss. He touched my back as we kissed, both sharing our affection each other. "Alexander", I broke the kiss, "I am willing to spend the rest of my life with you", I was happy in his arms. "Wait", I say before he tries to kiss me again. "What is it, my love?", he holds one of my hands in his. "My father! What will he say? What about his blessing?", I ask him, that seemed to terrify him a little. "He calls me son anyways, so I think he'll be fine calling me son-in-law", he joked, "or he just thinks that I'm the perfect boy to marry you." I giggled at his comment. We began to kiss again, each kiss becoming more passionate than the last. He started to touch my back under my shirt. "Alexander? Can we save this for when we're married?", I asked not wanting to have it tonight. "Oh, I see, you're one of those girls who never has sex till they're  married", he puts his forehead on mine. "Yeah, if that's okay with you", I kiss his forehead. "Well, you're the woman I love. I'm willing to wait for it", Alexander truly does love me, any other guy would not do what he was willing to do. He is truly one of a kind. I lay in his arms and we look up at the stars. I can't wait to see what the future will bring us. I see his hand and grab it with my own. I intertwine my fingers with his and rub my thumb on the back of his hand. He leans in to kiss my head. I cuddle against his chest and fall asleep in his arms.

"Oh, hey, Y/n?!", I hear a familiar voice. Finn?! I open my eyes to reveal that it was Finn and it is also morning. Alexander was already awake but he was still in the same position, holding me in his arms. Finn was blushing a lot when he saw I was with Alexander. I saw disappointment in his eyes. "I'm sorry to interrupt but Y/n, your dad wants to see you", he reported. What happened?
