Chapter 39:

"Push!", the nurse yelled. "I...can't!", I screamed. I was crying and sweating and I felt terrible. "Yes, you can! You're a brave woman I know it", she complimented. I held on to her hand tight, I felt really bad because I felt her blood on my fingers. "I'm not", I cried. "Believe me, you are", she confirmed, "and you are gonna deliver this baby, with all your strength because you are very strong." I sobbed, it was really painful, probably the most pain I've ever felt. It was hard but after a while of torture, I heard a baby cry. "It's a boy!", she confirmed. I felt relieved, the pain was worth it when the woman handed me the bundle of blanket that held my child. "Ooohhh", I sighed, looking at his face. "Oh my God", I started to cry a lot, "I can't believe it", I meant it in a good way, just somehow, my body was able to have such a wonderful baby. "Do you want me to go get your husband?", she asked. "Yes, please", she went to go out the door. I looked into the little boy's eyes. He's perfect. Alexander walked in, he rushed towards me and embraced me. "Alexander, meet your son, Philip", I gave the baby to him. He cradled him in his arms, "why Philip?", he asked. "I've always liked the name", I shrugged. "Philip it is", he snuggled up against me, "You did a good job", he complimented. "I think I did a good job too", I laughed. "He has your face", I pointed out. "Is that a good thing?", he asked. "Maybe", I joked. We kissed and Philip started to cry. "Shhh, it's okay. Mommy's here", I took him from Alexander and into my arms. I cradled him and rocked him. Alexander peered over at Philip, "I'm here too", he added. I laughed. Alexander started to cover his eyes and then Philip stopped crying. Then Alexander showed his eyes and Philip started to laugh. "Peekaboo!", Alexander exclaimed as he reveled his eyes. This was the start of a new family.
