Before the Winter's Ball:
I got ready and put on a f/c(favorite color) dress. I tied my hair in a bun and put on my jewelry and makeup. "Y/N!, hurry up you are going to be late to your own ball!", I heard George say, "The first guests have arrived.
I rush to finish my makeup and shit and rush downstairs. "I'm here", I announced.
"Ah, Y/N, meet the Schuyler sisters", George said as I saw three girls, one in pink, one in blue, and the last in yellow dresses.
The one in pink came towards me, "Angelica Schuyler I am the oldest", she curtsies.
"Elizabeth Schuyler, but call me Eliza, I am the second oldest", the girl in blue told me as she curtsied.
"And Peggy Schuyler, the youngest", the woman in yellow announced as she curtsied.
"Y/N Washington", I curtsied.
Later...
Guests came left and right, I had to greet them since this was my ball.
"Found any boy you like, Y/N?", my father elbowed me in the arm, playfully.
"Not really. Can I go look around?", I asked.
"Sure", he responded, as I walked off, I bumped into a man.
"Hello", he said.
"Y/N Washington", I introduced myself, I reached out my hand, he kissed it.
"Charles Lee", he explained.
"Oh, well, hello, Mr. Lee", I smiled.
"Please call me, Charles. Would you like to dance?", he took out his hand, waiting for mine.
"Yes", I beamed.
As we danced, we talked.
"Are you a soldier?", I blurted.
"Yes", he responded, "Your dad is the General, correct?"
"Yes", I studied our feet.
"If you want I can show you my gun", he offered.
"It's fine, I know how to use one", I explained, he quickly let go of my hands.
"Are you crazy? Guns are not toys anyone can play with, especially not women", he crossed his arms, waiting for my response.
"Why not?", I asked, trying to find a reason why women can't do what men do.
"Because, a woman's job is to cook, pleasure men, clean and take care of children", he confirmed.
"That's what you think of women?", I added.
"Yes", he admitted.
"You know what, bye", I waved my hand to him and continued to look around. There were so many people, so many men. Probably men as sick and mean as Lee.
I felt a hand touch my shoulder, I decided to look, it was Alexander, in the flesh.
"Y/N, so great to see you", he grabbed my hand to kiss it.
"You too, Alexander", I told him.
"I know we are just friends but, may I have this dance", his hand in front of him.
"Yes", I put a hand on his hand and the other on the back of his neck. He put his other hand on my waist and we danced.
After we danced, he let go and I went spinning into Hercules's arms.
"Yo, may I have this dance?", he requested.
"Why not?", I replied.
After we danced, I got let go of again and fell into Lafayette's arms.
"Hello, beau, you little grenade", he complimented, I think.
"Is that my nickname now?", I questioned.
"That is how I remember you", he responded.
"I mean, we haven't hanged out after the guy, Samuel Seabury, talked, downtown", I affirmed.
I got into a different pair of arms that belonged to Laurens.
"Well, greetings", I greeted.
"Hello, isn't this a lovely evening?", Laurens commented.
"Why, yes", I answered.
We talked a little more and tried not to step on each other's feet. After we danced I got tossed, for the fourth time and this time, landed in Alexander's arms.
"Hello, again. Missed me?", he asked.
"You wish", I said, he turned a little red.
"When can we hang out again, Y/N?", he smiled.
"Whenever, I don't usually have plans", I beamed.
"Okay, then tomorrow, at the pub. Where we first met", he planned.
"Okay", I answered.
I danced with a couple other guys but, they sounded like Lee.
I saw Alexander talking to Burr, I spied on them
"If you marry a Schuyler you're rich, if you marry Y/N, you can buy Manhattan, you son of a bitch", Burr chuckled. (Honestly, back in those days, an acre of land was one dollar)
"I didn't know I was a prize", I jumped in, Burr scratched the back of his head, "Oops, didn't see you there", he ran away.
"Sorry about that", Alexander told me.
"It's okay. I'm going to prove to you one day, I can take care of myself", I demanded.
"Till that day comes, you don't deserve your nickname, little grenade", he smirked, crossing his arms, teasing me.
"Want to go right now? I will beat you", I growled.
"You can teach me how to use a gun, I know how, but I want to put your knowledge to the test", he challenged.
"Are you challenging me?", I questioned.
"Maybe", he winked.
"Well, challenge accepted", I confirmed.
"Y/N, may I speak to you?", I heard a familiar voice, it was Jack.
"Coming", I went, "I will see you later, Alexander."
Jack looked pissed,"Isn't that the guy that got you drunk?"
"Maybe", I giggled.
"You shouldn't hang with that kind of crowd, Y/N. I worry about you", he said sincerely.
"Please, stop being over protective", I begged.
"I will, when I die", he snorted.
"Y/N", I heard, I looked and saw Alexander, he waved and walked towards me.
"You again", Jack growled.
"Have we met?", Alexander asked, dumbfounded.
"Yes, you're the guy who got drunk with Y/N", Jack reminded Alexander.
"Oh, yeah. I think you should go mind your own damn business next time", Alexander pointed out.
"Maybe you should stay away from Y/N", my cousin shouted, "I challenge you to a duel"
"No", I stood between them.
"I accept", Alexander hissed.
"Tomorrow morning, sunrise, at the hill where the weeping willow is, behind this house", Jack huffed.
"Okay", Alexander grumbled and took my hand, "Let's go, Y/N"
But Jack took my other hand, "No, come with me Y/N"
"I'll choose, I want to go with Alexander", I blurted.
We went, Alexander looked at Jack and stuck his tongue out, like a child, I ignored it.
Sadly, the night ended, so did the ball. I was tired but then realized, I had to go stop a duel...
