"There's a letter from Elizabeth Schuyler", dad handed me an envelope, with my name on it.

"Thanks", I grab the letter and open it, it says:

To: Y/N Washington

From: Elizabeth Schuyler

What: Winter's Ball

When: December 12, 1780(don't think this is historically accurate, cause it ain't)

Time: 8:00 p.m.

I can't wait, but I wonder if Alexander will be there or Hercules, or a matter of fact anyone I know.

"I'll go", I assure my dad.

"Good, maybe you can meet a man", he winked.

"Yeah, sure", I roll my eyes, "I know how overprotective you are"

"What do you mean", he smiled.

"I see whenever a boy looks at me you give him a dirty look, hell, you even sent Alexander home"

He gave me a blank expression, "That's because you are always getting hurt, especially around him, you get in trouble"

"So not true", I giggled.

----

It has been a couple months and Dad let the soldiers invited to the Winter's Ball, to go. When we got home, I hugged Martha and she helped me get ready for everything, the hair, the dress, the makeup, the jewelry. I saw myself in the mirror, I looked like a lady, I could barely recognize myself. For my hair, I had (a) (hairstyle), my dress was (favorite color).

----

Martha, George, and I arrived to the Winter's Ball. I step in to hear music, see people dancing, talking, eating, and drinking. I move into the crowd and look for any familiar faces, I find Eliza, "Hello", I greeted.

"I'm so happy you're here", Eliza hugged me.

"Found any cute guys?", I teased.

"There is one but I am too nervous to confront him", she explains.

"Well, good luck. You are very beautiful and if that guy can't see it, he must be blind", I complimented.

"Why, thank you. I hope you find that someone in the crowd", she walks away. I look for Angelica and Peggy.

"Hey", I hugged Angelica.

"Hello, Y/N", she hugged me back.

"How are you?", I asked.

"Great, I'm more worried about you", she put her hands on her hips, "I heard you got shot. Twice!", Angelica always acted as a sister to me, as well as Eliza and Peggy.

"Well, I'm alive and here", I beamed.

"And you better come back after the war!", I swear sometimes, she is too much of a sister to me.

"Don't worry!", I confirmed, "I'll be back, if I ever get shot again, I'll make sure to come back, just for you"

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I need to go help Eliza confront a man", she walks away.

"Good luck", I say as I walk to Peggy.

She immediately hugs me,"I thought I was going to lose you"

"Well, I'm back and that's all that matters, Peggy. Isn't it?", she hugs me tighter.

"I was afraid, I cried until I got the news you recovered. I was so worried, I didn't want to lose my best friend", she exclaims.
