Chapter 52:

Years passed by, my children got older and I had more children. Every time Philip visited from boarding school, he started getting handsome, like his father. More girls started coming to the door in search for Philip. And as more time passed by, he graduated from boarding school and ended up getting a scholarship to Kings College. I was surprised and very proud of Philip but it seemed that he started not coming home at night sometimes. As a matter of fact, he isn't home and it's 1 am. I have been waiting for a while, reading a book near a candle. I hear the door open.
"Philip?" I put my book down. 
"Ma? Why are you still awake?" He asked. His clothes were messy and there were lipstick stains on his neck and face.
"I could ask the same to you. I've been waiting for you to come back home." I explained.
"I, uh." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Save it, I know what you're doing." I spoke.
"You do?" He questioned.
"Yes. I assume you're sleeping with women?" I concluded.
He sighed heavily, "Yes. Let me guess, you're gonna punish me?"
"That's up to you." I answered.
"What do you mean?" He looked up to me.
"Come sit." I patted the sofa. He did as I told him and sat next to me. "I understand you can't be a child forever. And you're getting older by the minute. What I'm trying to say is that, you're a young man and I'll let you make decisions on your own. But I want you to be wise about it, I know you're a smart man." I lectured.
"Really? You're giving me freedom?" He asked.
"Of course, but remember to actually think about your decisions before you do them."
"What about Pa?" Philip questioned.
"Philip, your father doesn't even know how many kids he has by now. He's too busy in his office to care. Now, I know you look up to him and you want to be like him. But, just don't tell him, it can be our little secret." I smiled. "Now, off to bed...by yourself."
"Yes ma'am." He joked.
