Maria Reynolds. How do I begin to describe her? (I heard she does car commercials IN JAPAN, lol had to) She looked about my age. She walked on stage and delivered a song. Probably better than me. After that, the judge announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, we. Have. A. Tie", everyone gasped. "But is it okay if the ties share the spotlight?", he asked. "Well, who are the damn ties?", the lady that I insulted her dress exclaimed. "Y/n and Maria", he answered. "I'm okay with it as long as Maria is", I commented. "Then, it's settled! Our winners and new employees are Maria and Y/n!", he gave everyone a champagne glass. "Everyone else can have 10% off whatever they buy here", the judge stated.

"Congrats to you, Maria", I cheered. "Same to you", she and I clinked our glasses. "To teamwork", I commented. "To teamwork", she repeated. After that, me and her went to go hang out. I finally didn't feel so bored. And honestly, this is the first friend that I had that was a woman. I have been mostly surrounded by men most of the time. And mom was one of the only women I had, other than the Schuyler sisters but to me they were more than friends. Me and Maria walked to my house so we can hang out more. "I've had so much fun hanging out with you", I commented. "Me too", she agreed. When we got to my house, Alexander was already there. "Hello, Alexander", I went to go hug him, "there is someone I want you to meet. This is Maria Reynolds", I explained. They shook hands. "Nice to meet you", Alexander greeted. "Same to you", she commented. "Maria, would you like to stay for dinner?", I asked. "Sorry, I can't. I have my husband waiting for me", she stated. She went out the door, "Nice spending time with you, Y/n", she complimented. "Same to you", I answered. I was alone with Alexander now. "How are you?", he asked. "I'm fine. I got a job!", I squealed. "What is it?", he questioned. "Singing at a bar", I replied. "Oh, that's interesting", he and I were on the couch and he wrapped his arms around me. We cuddled for a while and I just stayed there, I barely see him anymore during the day. "I'm graduating soon from my studies", he broke the silence. "That's great. Maybe we can finally spend time together", I grabbed one of his hands and laced my fingers with his. "Yeah, maybe", he whispered into my ear.

A few weeks later...(has now been a month)
It's official! I have to be pregnant! There's no other way! I haven't had my period the whole month! And I think I'm getting fatter. Or I'm just pregnant. Great! I'm happy, I truly am. I wonder what Alexander's reaction will be.

I waited till he came home. He is now lawyer and he has been working on a very important case. "It's the first murder trial of a brand new nation", were his exact words. He opened the door and I attacked him. I hugged him and he spun me around. "Alexander", I kissed him. "Yes?", he laughed. "I'm pregnant!", I squealed. "That's...", I waited for him to reply, "that's wonderful. Our first kid!", he rubbed my stomach. I kissed him again, "I'm so happy for us", I put my hand on his cheek. "Wait till your father hears", he joked. I laughed and so did he. Then we realized my dad might kill Alexander and we stopped laughing.
