Vision's Surprise 

One Shot #9

Wanda's POV

  Vision has been acting really strange all day now. He doesn't seem to be upset about anything, just kind of nervous. I've asked him several times if something's on his mind and he simply gives me a nervous smile each time. I've had enough of this, I need to know what's going on with him. I'm going to get to the bottom of it. I get up out of bed and make my rounds to all of the Avengers, asking them all the same question, which is what's going with Vision? I decide to end with Tony since he's the closest with Vision. "Tony, I'm sorry to bother you, but what's going on with Vision? Has he said anything to you today?" Tony smirks at me. "Your man is acting all twitchy because he has a surprise for you, but is nervous about what you're going to think of him after he shows you it. It's something him, Bruce, and I have been working on for months." Yes, now I'm finally getting somewhere! Thank you Stark! 

  "Tony, can you please give me a hint as to what it could be?" He shakes his head no. "I'm sorry Wanda, but I'm sworn to secrecy. All I can say is that I think you'll be quite impressed with it. Oh and Vision's waiting for you in his room. Don't tell him I told you that okay?" I sigh but nod. "Thanks Stark." He gives me a small smile. "Good luck kid." I roll my eyes. He always calls me a kid even though I'm twenty four. I take a deep breath and head towards Vision's room, preparing myself for the surprise I'm about to get. I really hope that Tony's right. I'm sure he is. I hate to admit it, but despite him being a cocky ass most of the time, he's a very intelligent ass. 

   I knock on Vision's door. "Viz, are you in there?" I hear footsteps rushing to the door and it flies open so fast that the action makes me a bit dizzy. "Hey Wanda! It's nice to see you!" I notice he's still wearing that same nervous smile on his face. "Viz, I adore you, but you've been acting weird all day and I kind of know why." He face shifts into a frown. "Let me guess, Tony hinted that I have a surprise for you." I nod. "Well Wanda, I do have a surprise for you, but I'm quite nervous to show you it. I'm afraid that if I do, you might not like what you see." I grab his hands and hold them in mine. "Viz, whatever the surprise is, I'm sure I'll love it. Now please, take a deep breath and show me already. The suspense is killing me." That gets a small chuckle out of him. He then takes a deep breath and pulls out a device. He hooks it up to his arm and presses a few buttons. As he does, his normal shifts into... a human one. I gasp in shock. 

   I can't believe this! So this is what Tony, Bruce, and Vision have been working on for a couple of months. I honestly wasn't expecting this, but I'm really impressed. "W-What do you think Wanda? I'll understand if you're repulsed by this form." I look him up and down, admiring his human form just as much as his normal one. "Well Viz, I'm certainly surprised, but I'm really impressed. I'd never be repulsed by you. You look just as handsome as a human as you do in your normal form." He looks at me in shock. "Y-You really think so?" I smile brightly. "I really do Viz. Can I ask you a question though?" He smiles and nods. "Of course you can." "How come you've been working on developing a device that helps you shift into a human? I'm assuming there's a reason behind it besides wanting to surprise me." 

   Vision chuckles. "You've always been a smart one. You're right, there is a reason besides that. You and everyone else knows that I'm not of this world. I've been doing a lot of thinking over the past few months about what it would be like to have a form where I could blend in with society so people wouldn't be afraid of me, onto me, etc. Dr. Banner is the Hulk yet he has a human form. I figured it would be useful to have one as well. I won't be using it often, but it will come in handy from time to time." I nod in understanding. "That makes sense. Even though Loki's technically a villain, he has a human form to mask his frost giant form because he doesn't like scaring people off nor does he like people throwing it in his face." "I've heard about that. Thor was telling us all about Loki's background just the other day. It gave us all some understanding as to why Loki is the way he is. He's had a rough life." 

   Vision looks at me with amusement. "It's quite humorous actually. Loki's had a difficult life for thousands of years yet I've only been alive for two years now. I'm nothing more than technological and mechanical parts." I look at him seriously. "Vision, you are so much more than that. I love you so much, both in your regular form and your human form. Your natural form could be a slice of pizza and I'd still love you." He raises an eyebrow at me. "A slice of pizza? That's really the first reference that came into your mind?" I nod sheepishly. "I'm sorry, I'm really hungry." Vision stares down at me lovingly. "I adore you Wanda. Thank you for not being repulsed by me, both in this form and my own." I smile. "You're very welcome Viz. I hate to be a mood killer, but can we order a pizza? I'm starving." He laughs. "I think you already said that, but yes we can order a pizza." 

    We head into the kitchen where Vision orders us a pizza. Since he has a human form now, he can relish the taste of amazing foods like pizza. As we sit around and eat the pizza which managed to come quickly, I can't help but admire him. Vision is truly a gem. I'm really lucky to have him as my boyfriend. I'm even more lucky that he loves me just as much as I love him.
