One Shot #14 (Cont.)

Vision's POV

 I hate that I got kidnapped by HYRDA agents, but what I hate even more is that the fact that all of my teammates, especially Wanda, have seen me in such a weak state. I'm normally strong and require very little rest, yet here am I sleeping like a baby because I have no energy whatsoever. This stinks. And to think that today was the day that I was finally going to tell Wanda that I'm in love with her. I've been trying to gather the courage to do so for months and I only just found that courage today. The universe has such bad timing when it comes to planning my demise. I keep drifting in and out of sleep, being asleep for most of the time. I vow that as soon as I get better, I'm going to confess my love for Wanda. Even if she doesn't feel the same way about me, it'll be a heavy weight lifted off of my shoulders knowing that I've said the words aloud. 

 The next morning... 

  I wake up for a little while, though I'm extremely tired. I don't feel like moving and can't really speak right now. My vision's a little hazy and I can barely make Wanda out clearly. I'm happy that she's here though despite me being insecure about my appearance. Wanda notices that I'm awake and moves closer to me. "Viz, how are you feeling?" I try to open my mouth to speak but Wanda puts a finger to my lips. God I'm so tempted to kiss it. Okay that's a little weird... get it together Vision. I simply sigh and lean back comfortably against my pillows in bed. Wanda takes me by surprise and climbs into bed with me (not in a sexual way), but cuddles with me. My heart begins to race. She's so close to me. I can barely breathe, let alone gather a single one of my thoughts. This girl does so many things to me. 

  "Viz, I'm sorry we didn't get there sooner. We came as fast as we could. I'm mad at myself for not rescuing you the minute you were taken by HYRDA." A tear slips down her cheek and I wipe it away while staring into her eyes sadly. I then squeeze her hands gently, trying to help her realize that what happened to me wasn't her fault. She seems to get the message and relaxes as I tiredly wrap an arm around her and press soft kiss to her forehead. The both of us soon fall asleep in this position, which personally is my favorite sleeping position to date. 

A few hours later...

 Captain Rogers and Clint into the room, both of them with smirks plastered on their faces. I just woke up about a half an hour ago, but Wanda is still asleep. She's so exhausted. I doubt that she's slept at all in the past couple of days. I hate the thought of her losing sleep over me. "Welcome back Viz. I know you can't talk right now, but we're glad to see that you're awake a bit", says Captain Rogers. He tells me all the time to just call him Steve, but I like the way that Captain Rogers sounds. I'm one of the few beings that prefers formalities. I nod my head at him and Clint. Clint is staring at Wanda an awful lot and it's making me a little nervous. I look at him and mouth "What are you staring at?" He rolls his eyes playfully... but I swear I can see a slight blush on his face. That's wrong. Clint is married with a wife and children. He should definitely not be viewing Wanda in that light. 

   Captain Rogers... Steve and Clint visit with me for about an hour before they leave to go back to training or whatever it was that they were doing. It's only then that Wanda finally begins to wake up. She yawns and looks at me with those gorgeous blue green eyes of hers. "Sorry I fell asleep for so long Viz. I was just so tired. I hardly sleep anymore." I frown at that and stroke her cheek gently, causing her to blush. "Viz, there's something I need to tell you." I raise an eyebrow at her. Her hands begin to shake and I take them in mine one again. "Viz... I love you... in a romantic kind of way." I look at her in shock before a tired smile finds its way to my face. I mouth the same words back to her, which causes her to give me a breathtaking smile, causing my heart to race even more. My eyes flicker to her lips and silently plead for her to kiss me. Wanda being the smart girl that she is gets the hint and presses her lips into mine. They move in perfect harmony, us sharing the most perfect first kiss ever. 

Hoped that you guys liked this one shot! By the way, I found the above edit on Google and adored it so much that I knew I had to use it. I'll try to update my other fanfic tonight if I have the energy. I'm currently wrapping up my shift at work and am going out with my family for the evening to see Christmas lights and go to a buffer.
