Rescue Mission (Part 1)
One Shot #14
Wanda's POV
Guys, there's a serious issue going on right now. HYDRA agents infiltrated Stark Tower just a little while ago and took Vision. I don't know what they want from us, but we're going to put a stop to their evil plans and save Vision. I really hope we get there in time... All of us have suited up and are ready to kick from HYRDA ass if necessary. I don't like hurting people, but sadly it comes with the job. In unison, we all either run or fly out of Stark Tower and head straight for HYRDA headquarters, which is right outside of the city.
Twenty minutes later...
We arrive at HYDRA headquarters and bust in, not giving a crap about manners. At once, twenty agents come heading towards us, starting a really brutal fight between us Avengers and them. Bruce Banner as the Hulk and Tony as Iron Man are at the top attacking some agents. Natasha, Thor, and Cap are going to stay down below to attack the agents on the first few floors. Clint and I are working our way up to the top floor where Vision is being held. I know from personal experience that they like to run experiments on their test subjects on the top floor. Don't ask me why, just they do. Some people are just weird like that. Clint and I surprisingly manage to get to the top floor without too much of a hassle, though we're careful to dodge the Hulk and Stark as the pass by us fighting off more evil agents. Clint and I have to walk down a few long hallways to get to where Vision is being held. Clint shoots both of the guards outside his cell with perfect aim. Go figure. He's the male Katniss Everdeen. I call him that a lot and he gets pissed at me. It's just adorable.
When we get inside the room, my heart breaks. Vision appears to have very little energy, has a muzzle on his mouth, and is strapped to a table by his legs and arms. In other words, he looks like hell and can't move whatsoever. He spots me standing across the room and shouts for help through his muzzle. I rush over to him and try shooting the cuffs with my hexes... but the cuffs won't budge.I look at Clint in panic before shooting a few more hexes at the cuffs. "Clint, they're not budging. Can you use your muscles to get them off?" Clint nods and tries to rip them off. Once again, they don't budge. Clint even tries to shoot some arrows at them and they still won't budge. Vision looks at us in defeat, his eyes saying that it's hopeless. "Viz, it's not hopeless. Don't you even dare to think like that." I spot a crowbar over in the corner and an idea pops into my head. I grab the crowbar in the corner, split it into four pieces, and bash them against the cuffs. Somehow, it seems to do the trick on the cuffs. Clint managed to get the muzzle off of his mouth already.
Vision sits up and gasps for air. He looks like he wants to speak, but I don't think that's a good idea right now. "Viz, don't speak. Save your voice and strength. We're going to take you home so you can rest. I know you don't need to sleep all the time, but you look like need some now." He nods, not putting up a fight surprisingly. As he gets up from the table, he loses his balance immediately, causing more panic to arise in my system. "Clint, this isn't good. I think he needs to be examined by Bruce when we get back. He can't walk by himself, much less hover or fly." Clint sighs. "You're right Wanda. You get one of him and I'll get the other. I wrap one of Vision's arms around me and Clint wraps his other one around him. Together, we carry him to the elevator and all the way downstairs. Bruce has shifted back into his normal form while Stark is still in his Iron Man Suit. All of them frown when they notice how weak and injured Vision is. Bruce comes forward and helps us place Vision onto an exam table, where he's going to run a few tests on him. Even though he's a scientist and not a full on medical doctor, he did have some medical training. He does come in handy for us quite often, for more than just Hulking out when needed.
A couple hours later...
Bruce pulls me aside to update me on Vision's condition. "The good news is his injuries look worse than what they are. I had to reattach some parts of him, but with a lot of rest, he'll be good as new in a few days. He's definitely sore and weak. Do you mind if I keep him under observation for the night?" I smile at him tiredly. "Well that's good news for the most part and no, not at all. Do what you need to do. Thank you Bruce." He nods and gives me a small smile before joining the rest of the Avengers for a bit while I sit by a now sleeping Vision. I study his face while he sleeps. He looks so peaceful, even more so than usual. I hope he gets plenty of rest and makes a speedy recovery. We need Vision... I need Vision.
Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! :) -Mary
