- honey - my mom called from downstairs

- yes -

- Harry is on the line -

That's weird I thought to myself. Why would he call my house phone when he could just text me or call me on my cellphone.

I hurried downstairs to answer the call

- hey - I said - why are you calling me on this phone. Is something wrong -

- yes, something is wrong. I need to tell you something - he said

- go ahead, I'm here for you -

- it's my ex -

- what about her - I said not liking the tone of his voice in which he said it in

- we... -

OH NO OH NO, THEY SAY THAT HATE HAS BEEN SENT

SO LET LOOSE THE TALK OF LOVE

My alarm clock sang, waking me up.

It was a dream I said. A really weird dream.

I tried to go back to sleep but failed. I couldn't get the bad feeling I had inside of me to go away so I decided to work on my Academic Decathlon speech.

I really loved that class because everyone was so nice, a bit perky, but nonetheless really nice.

As I was about to start writing down ideas, my mom said that Harry was downstairs. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming again.

After making sure that this was really happening, I told her to let him in.

I went into my bathroom to make sure I didn't look like a mess.

- hello.... - Harry said

- I'm in the bathroom. I'll be right out - I said

- what's up - I said while walking out of the bathroom and going over to hug him

I noticed something was wrong because he didn't hug me back like he usually did.

- is something wrong - I asked him

- love, we need to talk - he said

- okay, let's talk - I said while patting the side of my bed motioning for him to sit down

- you know how I was sick this whole week -

- yes, are you okay now -

- I lied about being sick -

I was a little shocked by his confession

- why - I said

- because ... - he started to say - because... - he kept holding back

- it's okay, whatever you say I'll forgive you - I said while rubbing circles on his back like he did when I was nervous

- I can't. I don't want to hurt you -

- shhh. It's okay. Take your time sweetie -

There was a moment of silence before Harry said

- I cheated on you -

- I.... I don't know what to say - I gasped.

- I'm really sorry - Harry said while getting on his knees

- Harry, get up -

- I'm a big jerk -

- no your not, your  human. We all make mistakes -

- yell at me. Slap me, you have every right to be angry with me -

- do you love her - I said, catching Harry off guard with my question

- what -

- are you in love -

- yes -

- that's why I can't stay mad at you or hit you. You didn't do it out of greed but out of love. You can't yell at a person who's in love -

- but I cheated on you -

- I know and I'm hurt but love is love. We can't choose who we fall in love with, it just happens. I can't deprive you of that - I said while holding Harry's hand

- you were never mine to keep - I confessed - as much as it hurts, I have to let you go. It's the right thing to do -

- I'm really sorry about everything. I'm sorry about cheating on you. I'm sorry about breaking my promise of never hurting you. I'm sorry for ruining your day. I hope I don't stop you from trusting anyone because there are a lot of good guys out there. One day your going to meet that right guy and your going to instantly know. I can promise you that. Your an everlasting jewel who anyone would have the pleasure of dating. I can also promise you that I'll never meet another you. Your one of a kind Kim. - Harry said with a sympathetic voice

- you really mean it - I said, my voice cracking in the end

- uhu, your going to meet him. Love is always closer to you than you think -

After that day he walked out of my life and I never saw Harry again.

For months I wondered if what he said about "love being closer than you think" was true and if it was, then where was he when I needed him the most
