Kim's Point of View
- remind me why we're here again - Dane asked me in a monotone voice as we walked to the front door of the fancy looking restaurant.
- it would be incredibly awkward having to explain why my fiancee decided to stay home alone instead of accompanying me and also because you love me - I explained as I linked our arms together.
- you look beautiful by the way - he told me as he took my coat and hung it on the coat rack.
- you always think I look beautiful no matter what - I said as I ran my hands through my black silk dress to undo any wrinkles I had created while sitting in the car. - you're the one who looks flawless -
- that's true but tonight you look like a movie star in this dress - he complemented me. - I do look flawless don't I - he joked as we walked up to the receptionist.
- don't push it - I said as I laughed quietly.
The man in the crisp white and black suit led us to the table where Stacy and Andrew were already waiting for us.
- sorry for the tardiness, we got caught up in some unexpected traffic - I explained as Dane pulled my chair out like a gentleman gesturing me to sit.
- that's fine, Stacy and I just arrived a couple of minutes ago as well. You both look dashing tonight - Andrew said. I couldn't help but notice the way that he was looking at me. It was almost as if he was checking me out but that couldn't be possible... right?
- honey - Dane said as he elbowed me to get my attention. I felt incredibly awkward because everyone was staring at me like I had something on my face.
- I'm sorry, what? - I said.
- Stacy was just complementing your dress and asked how you were - Dane filled me in. I blushed and turned my attention to Stacy who looked equally as stunning as I.
- thank you so much, in fact, thank Dane. He's the one who bought me this glorious dress from Paris - I said to her.
- really! Oh wow, that's incredibly sweet. I want to visit paris someday - Stacy said.
- we should go for Christmas - I said.
- yeah, we should - she smiled. A couple of seconds later, a young man came up to us and took our orders. For about 30 minutes we talked, laughed, and reminisced about the old days until the waiter came back with orders.
- this is so good - Stacy emphasized the "good" a bit longer than necessary.
- it's superb - I agreed. - what do you think honey - I asked Dane.
- what you said - He said quickly before going back to stuffing himself.
- excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom - Andrew said as he stood up and walked away. I couldn't help but notice how distraught and pained he looked. Even though I know it was probably nothing I decided to follow Andrew and ask him what's wrong.
- I'll be right back, need to go to the ladies room - I whispered into Dane's ear. He said okay and went back to conversing and eating with Stacy.
I followed Andrew's previous footsteps and eventually found myself outside. I scanned the parking lot about half a dozen times and was about to go back inside when I saw a black figure move on the far end of the lot. Within a second, I found myself next to the black figure.
- Andrew? - I asked.
- what are you doing here Kim - He groggily replied.
- I don't know, what are you doing here - I said as I sat down next to him on the dirt stained ground.
- I don't know - He answered as he brough his knees up to his chest.
- want to talk about it? - I offered.
- about what - He asked stupidly.
- maybe you can trick Stacy but you're not fooling me. Something's wrong and I'm not going to stop pestering you until you tell me whats bothering you - I said in a bold voice as I moved closer to his side.
- you really want to know? - He raised his eyebrow and wrapped his arm around my waist.
- why else would I ask dummy - I smiled. - you smell nice - I commented.
- so do you. Okayyyy... I really don't like Stacy the way she likes me and the only reason I asked her out was because, well I don't really know why. Anyways, she's been so clingy lately and she's driving me insane. I just want to break up with her - He confessed. The whole time he was talking I couldn't help but realize how close were and the strange thing though is that I liked it.
- that sucks - I said.
- tell me about it. Can I tell you something Kim? - He whispered into my ear as he hugged me.
- absolutely -
- I miss our friendship, I miss holding you like this - He said out of the blue.
- I miss this too - I confessed. We held each other for a couple of minutes until I asked him if he wanted me to drive him home.
- please - He smiled.
- let me text Dane first - I said.
His smile quickly disappeared as soon as I said Dane's name.
- you okay - I asked as I typed a quick message on my phone.
- no - He said as he brought his hands up to his mouth. I was surprised almost petrified when Andrew suddenly got really close to me and ducked his head so he could look into my eyes.
- i'm not okay because when I see you all I want to do is this - Andrew desperately said before gently wrapping his hands on my face and giving me a kiss.
Everything about this moment right now was so wrong but then why did it feel right?
What's up?! Sorry for not updating but hw has been taking up a lot of my time lately. Don't worry though because I'm updating again TOMORROW :)
