Dane's point of view

I silently played with Kim's hair as she peacefully slept. The smell of her perfume was equally as sweet as her and don't even get me on her hair.

- I'm hungry - she unexpectedly said as she rolled over and snuggled up into my chest.

- hungry for me - I whispered to myself.

- I heard that - she said. I missed these sweet intimate moments that came effortlessly and naturally between us.

- hey..... where's Stacy? Didn't you tell me she was staying here with you - I suddenly remembered.

- she was but Andrew asked her if she wanted to stay with him and you know her. She practically ran to pack and yeah, that's about it - she said while playing with the collar of my shirt.

- oh that's nice I guess. Is it the same Andrew from high school? - I asked a bit to quickly.

She looked up at me with confused eyes and said "yes." I didn't feel like reminiscing about the old days and I definitely didn't want to ask what happened between Stacy and that Luke guy. I just saw him a day ago and he seemed perfectly happy. The party...

- Dane - Kim said while poking my cheek.

- yeah, sorry. What? - I asked while snapping out of my thoughts.

- I asked if you still wanted go eat somewhere because the fair starts in two hours - she said.

- I don't think we have time - I said while looking at the clock on the coffee table.

- we don't have to go if you're too tired sweetie - she said as she untangled herself from my arms and got up.

- but I want to - I got up as well and hugged her from behind. - you know that you have changed my world - I whispered in to her ear.

- for the better? - she softly said.

I surprised her by picking her up bridal style and started walking up the stairs. - definitely for the better - I kissed her.

At the fair, still Dane's point of view

- that one - she said as she pointed at the biggest roller coaster the fair had.

I gulped and looked at the screaming people go up and down the big slopes. - are you sure - I said as I took a few steps back.

- absolutely - she said. I could tell she had that fascinated look in her eyes. - come with me -

- I'm kind of hungry, I'll wait for you here - I said as I took a couple of steps back - I'll be waiting here -

She gave me a disapproving look and got in line alone. I watched her wait in line patiently and I couldn't help but feel like less of a man. Suddenly two buff looking guys came up to her and started flirting. Poor innocent Kim talked to them not even noticing the smug looks they were giving her. I ran toward her and said - hey babe -

She gave me a weird look and said goodbye to the guys. - what are you doing here, I thought you were going to wait for me OVER THERE - she mocked as she smiled at me.

- you two coming - the person in charge of the ride said. I looked at Kim once last time and squeezed her hand so tight that I felt her flinch.

- let's live a little - I said.
