prologue

he ran.

as fast as he could.

forcefully pushing himself forward despite the ache and fatigue that crept up his legs, he ran.

tired pants escaped his lips as he sped along the sidewalk. spotting the huge building which he knew as the airport, he pushed himself further and finally reached the place.

he rushed through the entrance doors and let his eyes search his vicinity, searching for a very particular face. scampering through the busy crowds, he headed towards the departure area.

his hazel brown eyes wandered around, skimming through the unfamiliar faces. he stumbled around, repeatedly muttering the name of the girl he wished to find under his breath.

"joy..." he murmured, out of breath. "no, dont leave...joy,"

panic rose in him, his eyes watering. he frantically jogged around, the only thought in his head was to find the girl.

"sooyoung..." he whispered, barely managing to choke the words out.

glancing up, he spotted two familiar figures. rushing towards them, he grabbed the shorter man, startling him.

"jimin!" taehyung exclaimed, exasperated. "where's she? where's sooyoung?"

jimin gazed at him, furrowing his eyebrows in sympathy. he bit his power lip and held taehyung's stare in the eyes.

taehyung could only let out a 'no' with a cracked voice as he stumbled back, when jimin shook his head as an answer to his question.

she's gone.
