upon their entrance into the amusement park, they began to hear screams, singing, cheering and the clanking ride chains. the air smelled of popcorn and cotton candy. the colorful paints of the rides appeared like wonderland compared to the grey settings outside of this place.

joy's eyes twinkled slightly, excitement slowly building up inside her. "wow.." she let out a gasp of amazement. it had been so long since she went to an amusement park. the last she'd been, as far as she can remember, was when she was a young kid.

"you like it?" taehyung asked, noticing the hint of thrill on her face. joy nodded, a small smile forming on her face.

"what do you want to try first?" he asked, pointing at the many different rides in front of them. "roller coaster? viking? water slides? the haunted house?"

joy shuddered at his last suggestion. "maybe we should start with something extreme and exciting first?"

"oh jumping right into it, are we?" taehyung raised his eyebrows but then nodded. "alright, how about the drop tower?"

"sure." joy agreed and the two of them headed towards the line for the drop tower ride. it took about ten minutes of waiting in line before the staff signaled them for their turn. they sat beside each other and secured themselves with the restraints. the staff came to check on them individually before running the ride. and while they did, joy glanced up and saw the top of the tower. it was pretty high and she felt a mix of excitement and anxiety.

"you okay?" taehyung asked.

"im a little scared." she admitted. "but i'll be fine."

then, the ride began to gradually rise up to the top. with each second, joy felt her heart beat even faster. in fact, even taehyung felt the same. when they reached the maximum height, they stopped. for some reason, joy wanted to grab on something. and as if taehyung heard her thoughts, he grabbed her hand and gripped it hard. then, they dropped to the ground.

screams were let out and joy wasn't sure if it was hers or the others in the ride. despite that, she just gripped taehyung's hand tighter to give her some security as they fell from the top of the tower.
