That night consisted of many long phone calls with both of my parents, my two sisters, my brother, and my brother's wife. My whole family was very close, and me going wedding dress and cake shopping with Mat had not gone unnoticed. Everyone wanted to know whether or not we were back together, and were confused when I told them we weren't. After many people telling me to make smart decisions and keep them updated, I finally ended my last call with Andrea. I then called Taylor and put her on speaker as I walked into the kitchen to see what I was going to make for dinner. She answered on the third ring.

"Tell me everything, is it what you were hoping for? Better?" I found myself smiling as I grabbed rice from the pantry. "It was amazing, but it didn't feel right. What about Zac?" "Forget about Zac, you know he was the rebound." Though that was the way things started, I cared for Zac now and I didn't want to dump him. "I know Taylor but he's so much...easier than Mat." At that moment, I got an incoming call from Zac. "He's actually calling me right now. Can I call you back later?" "Yeah of course, bye Ash." "Bye."

I answered Zac's call, checking to make sure that Matthew was still upstairs. "Hey baby what's up?" "Hey, not much." "You want to go see a movie tonight and then you can come spend the night at my house?" I put a pot of boiling water on the stove. "Uh I don't know if I can." "C'mon, I haven't seen you in so long. It'll be fun." I noticed Mat come downstairs and I smiled at him as he sat on the couch. "I don't know Zac, I'm not really in the mood to go out tonight." Hearing I was on the phone with Zac, Matthew came in the kitchen to listen closer. "The movies isn't really going out Ash, and we can get back to my place early." Mat grabbed the phone from my hand. "What are you doing?" I whispered. "Give that back." Mat shook his head at me and put the phone to his ear. "This is Ash's roommate, she hasn't felt well the last couple of days so we were going to hang out here tonight. You're free to join us if you want." I couldn't hear Zac's end of the conversation, but Matthew said "Yeah, she didn't tell you she lived with me?" After another second, he said "Okay awesome we'll see you soon. Bye."

"Matthew!" I hit his arm. "Why the hell did you do that? He doesn't know about us, he thought I still lived in the hotel." "Well he deserves the truth, lying's not nice Ash." "This isn't funny Mat, you'll stay upstairs while he's here." "No way, I think it's about time I meet your other boyfriend." "What do you mean other boyfriend? You're not my boyfriend Matthew." "You sure act like I am." I ran a hand through my hair in frustration. "Can we not do this right now?" "Do what? Did you not want your boyfriend to know that you were engaged to blackbear and now live in his house and are cheating with him?" I was mad now, but Mat couldn't be more amused. "First off, this is our house. Second, we slept together once. It wasn't a big deal." "Sure it wasn't."

The doorbell ringing and Mac barking indicated that Zac had arrived. "Perfect timing." Mat smiled, walking towards the door. "I can't wait to see who you replaced me with."
