Adeline's P.O.V

I cooked some breakfast while I had Archie clean most of my mess. There wasn't as much of a mess but it was enough to have him help me.

"Why can't I help you?" Archie said.

"Because you're a terrible cook," I told him.

"Am not," Archie said.

"Are too. Now let me be," I said as I cooked the eggs.

"What are you doing up?" Dad asked. We both looked up to see him walking over. I walked over to him and kissed his cheek.

"Morning, dad. I made you eggs with toast," I told him.

"I was going to bring you breakfast," Archie said.

"I appreciate it, kids. But I've gotta get to moving around sometime," Dad told us.

"Which we will let you do. Later," I said. We saw Archie chug down an energy drink making us stare at him a bit.

"Little early for that, isn't it?" Dad asked him.

"No, I'm good. Dad, the only thing you need to be worrying about is getting better," Archie told him.

"He's right," I told dad. Archie's phone started to ring making him look down at it.

"Crap. I gotta take this. I gotta go. Bye," Archie said before leaving.

"Dad, I am tutoring the Southside kids later as usual. I'm taking in more kids so it could help on medical bills," I told him.

"Adeline-"

"Dad it's no problem. I promise," I told him.

"How long will you be out?"

"Not as long. Maybe I can ask Jughead to bring me home," I told him.

"Alright. Have a good day at school," He told me before I left for school.

During school, the principal told us about Ms. Grundy's death. I looked up in shock before looking around. After class, I went to go find Archie.

"Archie," I said.

"Adeline!"

"I heard what happened. Even though I dislike her, I knew that you both were close. Are you alright?" I asked him.

"Adeline, don't go tutoring today," Archie said.

"I have to. I promised for today," I told him.

"Adeline-"

"I promise I'll be fine. If it makes you feel better, I'll come home sooner," I told him.

"Please," Archie said.

I nodded before walking off. I went to my locker to grab the things I needed before going to the Southside.

"Adeline!" I looked over to see Betty walking over.

"What can I do for you, Betty?" I asked.

"I was wondering if you could help us keep Pop's open tonight," She said.

"I'd love to but after what happened, I'm still a little in shock. I'll still come to support though," I told her.

"Really? I was just hoping if you could spread the word."

"I'll spread the word and stop by," I told her.

"Why?"

"Pop's was the place where Archie took me when I was feeling down. I hate to see it go even after what happened," I told her.

"Thank you so much, Adeline," Betty smiled before giving me a hug.

As soon as I got to Southside High, I went to the classroom where I was allowed to tutor in. I started to finish my homework before I had to tutor.

"Excuse me, are you available for tutoring?" I looked up and smirked.

"Yes I am. What do you need help on?" I asked.

"Anatomy," He said.

"What do you need help on?" I asked, playing along.

"I need help on learning the body."

"Seriously, Sweet Pea?" I asked him as I walked over to him.

"Had to give it a shot," He said before giving me a quick kiss.

"I'm sorry I couldn't visit you so much for the week," I told him.

"I understand. I'm sorry about your dad," Sweet Pea told me. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him.

"Now I'm scared for the medical bills cause I know that they're expensive and I just want to help out," I told him.

"Whatever you do, just know that I'll be there to support you," Sweet Pea said before giving me a quick kiss.

"Hey, Sweet Pea. Hey, Adeline," Toni said walking in.

"Hey, Toni," We both said together.

"I heard about your dad, Adeline. I'm so sorry," Toni said.

"He's okay. He's home resting so I'm just trying to help out more as I can," I told her.

"Well, I need help on math. So, Sweet Pea, get out," Toni said.

"I'll see you later, princess," Sweet Pea told me before giving me a quick kiss and leaving.
